MY2009 discounted - why is this such a big deal?
According to a few internet sources, the 1st year depreciation on a 2009 C63 is between $13K-$14K. Why would anyone pay more than MSRP-depreciation?

Would you rather get a pre-owned one that has depreciated or a new one that has depreciated? I'd go with the later. When the "sale" was on, we were buying these for less than a pre-owned one.

Im not sure what the OP is trying to get at...
The absolute WORST thing about an AMG, and the only downside in the first 4 years of ownership (aside from MPG) is the depreciation. They drop like a rock.
For someone who wants this car but only for a few years, if you can get a brand new AMG and have them lessen the depreciation hit by $10k+ (or make it an affordable lease payment), its a no brainer. Or if you want to keep the car forever, getting the exclusivity of this car while its still relatively new at $10k+ off is also a big deal.
Not sure what youre getting at...it seems obvious to me.
