its that plastic piece that surrounds the exaust pipes... i think this particular one on the w204 has no aerodynamic function or anything, and its main purpose is to be a different color/material than the bumper and prevent the bumper from becoming tarnished or filthy from exaust residue... also it looks better visually than just having a one piece bumper, at least on the w204

could be wrong though...

i was considering purchasing a carbon fiber rear diffuser for my new (<300 miles) 09 c63 and may be more inclined to do so if i were to get some $$$ for my original. a few questions: 1) are you sure the c63 diffuser will fit your c350?, 2) how much are you willing to pay for mine? and 3) where are you located?

C63 diffuser will fit C300/C350 perfectly. Just need to get the C63 brackets. Probably wouldn't be too hard to sell. I had a spare C63 OEM diffuser and sold it for around $150-200 pretty fast.

I might be selling my Euroteck carbon fiber one if you are interested in that, never installed. After I had my roof vinyled in satin black, I decided to leave the stock diffuser on since it matches better. I also have a carbon fiber trunk spoiler available, never installed as well.
