RENNTECH PKG3

Says that there is a "sound pipe mod"

Does anyone know what that consists of?

Anyone running the Renntech ECU2 tune?? Im thinking of pairing that or Kleeman K2 tune with the MHP LT headers..

Kleeman K2 comes with the headers, i think what you want is the kleeman ecu upgrade with mhp lt headers

I have PKG 3 on my car.
Sound mod is basically secondary cat removed and replaced with Rentech pipe (maybe there are some internal ribs or curves inside that pipe that make it sound "special"). However I have not heard a C63 without sec cat, maybe there is not much difference.

Is the pipe as bolt-on set up or is cutting & welding required?

Thanks in advance.

So you just have the Renntech stage 2 tune? I take it you are very happy with it still?? Was it worth the money?

I've been reading lots about tuning and have decided to pay the extra bucks and go with the guys that seem to know the most about doing it.

it is a bolt on setup, basically completely replaces the whole section from the flanges on the downpipe to right before the resonators. I will take a picture for you guys later today, as we have one at the shop.

Here is a picture provided by renntech

We also have the RENNtech airbox in stock and available as well.

Any update here? Pricing perhaps? Would this throw a CEL with a stock tune?

So how much are the typical "straight" pipes (resonator delete) including install?

From my experience on this site:
1 Billion dollars from a tuner or $150 from a muffler shop.

(No offense to anyone...)

.
I was thinking of replacing my secondary cats with a T304 SS perforated core resonator from Vibrant but several members said it really doesn't add power. This is a very high quality piece that I have used before. The shortest they sell is 12" overall length with a 4" round body at about $57 each. The core is a perforated tube unlike a glass pack.

Well my car is not stock and my friends is. I have str8 pipe with no 2nd cats. He had no 2nd cats and x pipe. Sound wise mine is alot louder. As far as performance I would say x pipe with no 2nd cats will show some gains.

I put on X-Pipe for my car.

I heard that X-Pipe gives you more torque.

This one was 147,000 yen so its around 1,615(USD)

It really sound good.
