In car video--C63 at Summit Point race track
I took the car to Summit Point in WVA for a track day. A few laps are shown here:

Nice day with some pretty cool cars. I got some great comments on the car. Even the BMW guys enjoyed the sound as I went by

Very nice. I love that. You held some good lines. Also improvments as time goes on. Again nice lines. I assume you where on the Summit Course of 1.8 miles? Based on your lines you average speed was 84.15 MPH? That was in traffic too very cool. How was yoru cam mounted? Can you get pic of your setup? Mine wobbles on the indise, so I am currently setting up a outside ground level front / rear setup.
Again very cool great video

Thanks for your comments. I think Summit Point is 2.2 miles (it was the main track). I used a hero cam and used the suction cup windshield mount. Nice camera for the money and very compact.

I was running R compound Toyo RA1's with 245's on the front and 275's on the rear. The front left tire took a beating with all of the right hand turns. I put two track days and almost 7,000 miles on this set and they are definitely done!

I was driving in M mode for most of the laps. I tried sport mode and it worked pretty well but I would get an occasional downshift at a less than ideal moment.
You do not have to have a license to participate in a track day but you need to have an instructor ride along with you if you are new to the track.
I have the Kleeman ECU tune and the AMG performance package. Case 1906 had his (non tuned)C63 at the track as well. I rode in his car and had him ride in mine and we both thought that the car pulls much stronger on the top end with the tune. Over 100mph you could really feel a difference.

That was impressive! Keith(Dad'sC63) and I along with some friends were at Roebling Road this weekend for a track education program. Watching your in car adds more fuel to the fire which is already white hot. I had no idea how well these cars can perform in that environment and it quickly becomes apparent after just a few sessions. For anyone even thinking about a track day DO NOT TURN DOWN an opportunity. Even as a newbie you will drive your car like you never will on the street and after watching Early Apex you can set some lofty goals! ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)

Excellent video and very impressive driving. I was one of the friends hhughes1 mentions above and the C63 AMG was a hit all weekend long. His and Keith's cars are beasts. The C63 AMG is no longer a "sleeper" if it ever was one.

Thanks for the nice comments on the driving. The C63 does makes a nice track car and then you get to drive home in a Mercedes at the end of the day. Eyes ahead, be smooth and hit your marks!
