Attn Vegas owners!!! Same Day ECU tune anyone?
The best that we would be able to do is not charge our standard install fee of $90. So in reality you will save roughly $120 or so due to not having to pay the overnight fee to and from Kleemann as well as having the tune done that same day. Another discount I can provide is a cash discount since regardless our merchant account will take away a few points on credit card transactions. Cash deals we can do for $1450.
I can however discount the RENNtech tune if you guys are interested in that tune.
Not sure I am clear on this. The regular price is $1500. By waiving the install fee (saves $90) the new price should be $1410. Then you mention payment in cash could bring another discount brining the price down to $1450. That doesn't add up. Shouldn't the cash discount come off of the $1410 price (with the original $90 discount)?
Regarding RENNtech what's your discounted price?
Thanks

To send kleemann the ecu you will send $120 to overnight and have the ecu over nighted back. So in a sense you are saving $30 with the ability to enjoy the tune the same day as to waiting while your vehicle is down.

Seven guys sounds like it's going to be a problem. As far as I know there are only 3 of us from this board living here in Vegas. Unless there are other guys from CA or neighboring states coming down especially for this 7 tunes is going to be pushing it.
I'm surprised the manufacturers and the middlemen aren't being more aggressive with pricing right now given shi**y economic climate. I'm in retail as well and margins have taken a nose dive with the discounting that has to take place right now to sell anything big ticket. These kinds of performance enhancement purchases are definitely discretionary. I'm curious how the tuners are managing to hang in there.....

Correct, the Kleemann's prices have drop roughly 40 to 50% in the last year and a half, along with this drop in retail pricing is basically equal reduction in wholesale to retail market. you also need to keep in mind that Kleemann USA buys from Kleemann Demark.

Whenever you're out driving the car just pull into any private property parking lot(preferabbly one that's empty) and do a couple quick launches and leave. The next track day is October 3rd
Since the C63 rolled out, I have only seen 3 others here.
I have only been there once but the SA I was referred to for the bumper repair was Spencer Kaplan. Young guy who seemed into cars. Maybe he would be cool with the Kleemann mod but never asked since at the time this was not the issue.
The Kleemann flash isn't know to trigger and check engine lights is it?
The other issue is when the car gets hooked up to their computer would the ECU get reflashed back to stock each time you went in for service? That's what I'm most concerned about. Really don't want to be shipping the ECU back and forth repeatedly.
My only apprehension is warranty related issues and the possibility of having to re-flash following servicing.
Are you going to go for it mid-October? Even if I decide to deal with the above issues I probably won't do it until the guy returns in March as I don't have enough miles on the car yet.

The re-flash issue will become a problem for me now that I'm down to 1 car again so not sure how I'm going to handle this yet. If I can find an SA that has no real problems with Kleemann and promises not to touch the ECU during routine servicing then I am good to go. Early next year will work for me too.
That X-pipe/charcoal filters mod might be another thing I look at as well. Great midrange gains with very little hassle. I wonder how it works together with the K1 tune?
