Attn Vegas owners!!! Same Day ECU tune anyone?

I will be in Las Vegas near the middle to end of Oct, please let me know if anyone is interested in getting their ECU flashed in the same day.

We will be offering both Kleemann and RENNtech tunes, both will and can be verified by the selected tuner by vin if you chose to double check us.

Lets get a list of who is interested!

An Los Angeles list will be coming shortly

Need to find spare change that the wife doesn't know about.....aren't you also coming up during SEMA? You also mentioned you come up several times a year, right? I mentioned to a couple of other local guys about you coming up and doing same day tunes.

I think I will do this tune although my main concern is with how our local dealer will handle this mod.

If every time I bring the car in for servicing they reflash the ECU back to stock that would be problematic. How do tuners like you deal with this issue? If you were local and you could reflash it back as needed for no charge that would solve the problem. Seeing as you are out of state I would hate to be mailing the ECU back and forth everytime this happened. The RAT set up Renntech has would definitely be very nice but I hear it's not available for the C63.

Sincity do you have any idea if FJ is mod friendly or if there are any mod friendly SA's there?

I need to find out. My SA, who I have been with since '98, recently passed away. I remember him telling me that there was a full-tune Kleemann C55 that comes in for service when the C55s just came out. Cory might remember his name because he had his entire car shipped to Kleemann for installation. IIRC, he also had a full-tilt C32 sent to Kleemann as well. I just don't recall his screename.

Just tell dealers not to reflash the ECU

she got you by the *****.... My wife is mod friendly, she loves when I mod my cars because she drive them all and she always supported me. Since I am the one that pay all the bills in the house(she doesn't work) I am in the opposite situation as you.. Good luck anyways.

This only works for my Mustangs, she's afraid to drive the C.

SEMA, I dont know if I'm coming or if Peter and Sean are going. I'll have to check with Cory to see if they are going to see if we can still get tunes during SEMA week.

If arizona make its back for the vegas bowl again then I'll be back in Dec. Next after that won't be until march I believe.

RENNtech has the brick for the 63's. They allow you to data log and switch between programs via OBD2, only down fall is that the initial flash must be done on the bench just like the other tunes.

If we can get a group buy price, I "may" be able to do it. Otherwise I'll wait till March after the car has some miles on it. I barely have 1200 and I think VegasAMG may even have less than me. Not sure about Desmo996. In the meantime, I need to buy 20" tires for my new RDX wheels.

I'm interested but will be traveling much of Oct., out of country as well as to the East Coast. Las Vegas is OK, but L.A. is better as a location also. I am concerned about the warranty/dealer situation also...I have no idea where my dealer stands on this.

Ya I don't even have 1000 miles as I haven't driven any long distances yet. So I need to rack up some more mileage first (still haven't experienced this car's stock HP yet).

As Sincity mentioned unless there was a generous group buy discount (2 or 3 sales in one shot ain't a bad day's work) I would probably opt to hold off as well.

I also want to be sure our local dealership is mod friendly enough to handle the ECU flash. I really don't want to be shipping the ECU back and forth every time a service occurs.

+1. That does not fit in my concept of hassle-free ownership either...not to mention that at the retail (non-corporate end-user) level the cost of overnighting packages seems to have gone through the roof in recent years.

James, are you able to find out if you can run a "Vegas Tune Day" special on Kleemann flashes?

You better come out to the track so we can get some before and after runs against each other to justify the expense.

I suck at launching. Can't I just do a "Ricer Drive-By?"

Is there anywhere in town where I can practice w/o worrying about the cops? Kind of difficult when the town is up 24 hours a day.

Yea try top floor of the MGM parking tower, you should be able to get off a few good test launches then get out fast before those guys on the bicyles come after you. Last time I was there I left a really cool one on top. Can see it from the top floors of the Signiture, must be at least dozen parking spaces...Opps that was burnout, sorry thought you talking about heating up the tires not launching

I thought you were going to tell me to launch the car from the rooftop lot and fly onto Tropicana Ave. LOL.

With the Kleemann tune, we really don't have a large margin, as well as the cost of the actual flash tune tool is very expensive.

The best that we would be able to do is not charge our standard install fee of $90. So in reality you will save roughly $120 or so due to not having to pay the overnight fee to and from Kleemann as well as having the tune done that same day. Another discount I can provide is a cash discount since regardless our merchant account will take away a few points on credit card transactions. Cash deals we can do for $1450.

I can however discount the RENNtech tune if you guys are interested in that tune.

I figure your margin was slim. I was hoping Cory would take a discount on his end.
