All black C63?
So I'm starting to think about blacking out all the chrome on my C63 (except the emblems). Anyone have any thoughts or photos?

Here you go Danny...but no chrome emblem and no blacked out rims..... window trim, trunk trim and side mirrors are VINYL from Promax at Alhambra!!!

I understood the blackout look when I was 18, but now it seem juvenile in my opinion. I admit it does look good, but I just couldn’t see myself getting in and out of it at this point in my life. It almost looks like your trying to hard...

Agreed when it's a crappy black out job. But when done professionally and tastefully it can look absolutely sick.

Well, it hearkens back to the ORIGINAL AMG cars that were being built in the 80's, and one of their signatures was a mono-chromatic paint scheme. (yes I used to own a 500SEL AMG Stage II car, that was white/white, everything was white, even the AMG steering wheel, seats, etc etc, and all white exterior) Anyone remember the AMG Hammer??

Wow, that 1st photo is GORGEOUS... however then there would be two of us in SOCAL with the CF lip and all black, lol. How much did Promax charge you?

i know this is probably a bit more matte than what you were looking for, but it works. this is a full wrap on the car. its a love or hate thing I guess. not my car, but a 6speedonline member

There is this guy over on e46fanatics.com that does vinyl wrapping. I've heard nothing but good reviews about his work. He is located in Irvine.

He can also do CF vinyl wraps too. Just thought I'd share this info.

Hell yeah....the red one in the R&T article. That was my inspiration for wanting something from AMG back in the 80s. As a matter of fact, I am trying to locate a Gen 1 AMG body kit for my 190e. I found a hyrbid one wasting away in the desert (Gen 2 kit with Gen 1 side skirts).
