These numbers represent 2 different cars with different tunes and hardware at that time. It could be this machine doesn't adjust correctly although the atmosphere conditions are accurate on the sheets. I really think that very hot, humid(heavy) air has a more profound affect than the programs compensate for. At the track it is normal and expected for all non NO2 cars to run significantly slower. Our C63's are .05 to .07 and ~3-4 mph slower than winter results which equates to a lot of missing HP.

There's nothing to check out. When we ran back in August right after installing the new MHP L/T headers I ran an 11.69 @ 118mph and the dragtimes corrected it all the way down to 11.35 so this Florida heat and DA does make a drastic difference. Wish we could race up north with you guys now!!

Glad to hear you got everything together and the car is running strong now! I have no doubt you'll be setting new records for the C63. Can't wait to hear how you do at the 1 mile run tomorrow.

I'm still a bit confused regarding the numbers..... are the numbers you posted corrected or uncorrected? The dyno shop should be able to give you both sets of numbers. If your car pulled 450 whp uncorrected for example, then because of the bad conditions you ran in, I would expect the corrected numbers to be much higher and vise versa of course.
By the way, I have seen personally ETs vary by almost one second and trap speeds by 7 mph on 4 different 63s (2 E63s and 2 CLS63s) due to bad DA conditions (heat, humidity, pressure). We have posted so much data regarding this a few years back from our Fontana races. My car personally went from:
13.1 @ 108 mph (98 F with DA of 3300) to 12.2 @ 115 mph (63 F with DA of 200 to 800)

This is the comparison between my K2 setup and the MHP headers. Same shop as Keith's with similar circumstances. These are SAE corrected numbers but the Kleemann results in March were consistent 430's while 4 pulls in August were ~415. Same results at the track where a half to three quarters is lost as well as 3-4 mph.

Because their "radar gun" was off by at least 15-18 mph. Every single person who had a car mounted GPS was reading at 15-18 MPH higher than what they were telling us!!!! So not sure we will get a real MPH for this one. Sucks..... drove a long way for a guess at what I ran!!!!!! I know my GPS was showing 178 on the first run that they are calling 167.....

Congrats to Keith and Ben. That sucks there is no "official" slip provided. Nonetheless, impressive numbers (especially given the heat that day) and looks like the car is running strong.

Whatever we're tuning!
Your car is coming along awesome Keith!
Once all the power is there remember about the suspension set up that we spoke about.
That is when it will all come together!
You still coming to MIR on Dec 5th?

I believe that is the plan, to be @ MIR. Keith will back on tonight or in the morning. He's been in Germany since Sat..... Chomping at the bit to get some of the input form the event. Talked to him earlier, and he's very satisfied with the cars current set-up, but would like to have gotten some real numbers from this weekend.

Hey Guys,
Been up 22 hours. Just got back from Germany. First of all thanks goes to MHP, Macedo Motorsports, Jerry's MB Service, and HRE for all their help getting the car prepared for this run!! Thanks also goes to Ben and my sons for taking the car down there and running it for me since I was out of town on business. Great prep and driving Ben!!
Looks like there are some discrepancies with the results. Lets live with the 170mph they are listing. That puts the Renntech car at the same speed of 170. We did have a GPS in the car that was reading significantly higher but thats not what the posted results say. Lets call it an event and move on. I know the car ran faster than that but without video's we can't prove it. I believe Ben ran video's on a couple of the runs so I'll review them tomorrow and see what we can come up with. With the weather what it was it faired well against the C6 Z06's and some other rivals that everyone keeps telling me we can't run with. Well, read the results and then get back with me. Car runs strong and we did have the heavier stock rear wheels back on the car for the higher speed runs because we needed the drag radials. Wish we could have put the drag radials on the lighter wheels and pulled the filters for a run. YEEHAW!!
It was hot but all in all we held our own. We will be at MIR.

Not sure where you got your information, but for the sake of accuracy, both ran 170 on the radar gun according to the chart on milemarker-1. There was no 20 mph spread. I was there, ran my M5 and know the radar was a little soft.
Hopefully they will get it squared away for January.

170 was a good number with the equipment they had at the event. Many serious cars went slower. We shared your experience seeing higher numbers on GPS than they recorded at the event. Supposed to get fixed for next time. It was a good time anyway. Congrats on the runs.

SGC,
Thanks for the congrats. We did register 178, 187, and 190 on the three fastest runs. Will check the video's tomorrow and see what we can come up with. Apparently many like us had some different results than what they got. Hopefully next time they will be better prepared. Be safe!!

I am sure you get the point. Apples to Apples- 170 to 170.
Believe it or not radar gun was not selectively innaccurate.
My M5 and Renntech's C63 registered higher GPS mph than is shown on Milemarker's website.
Radar gun was sh-tty for everyone.

It was a little bizarre. Everyone had the same experience. I have a friend with a 2007 Z06 that has run 11.40's @ 127. He came to the event, and they told him that he was running in the high 150's low 160's. He said he saw well over 170 on his speedometer. In any event, it was a good time. It will be better when they get the equipment to be accurate.

Good Morning,
Thank you Larry at Macedo Motorsports for helping me this morning.
Here are the dyno numbers with better weather this morning in Florida. Finally got below 70 and the other factors were MUCH better. I am excited about the numbers and looking forward to new track times, especially with the new torque figures!! I know the dates and times are off on the dyno sheet so don't slam me about that. It also has the MHP tune in it and not the MKB. I already called Larry to see if he can correct them and give me new copies. If not, it was this morning, 10/19/2009 between 8:30 and 9:30 with the MHP tune. We let her cool down between runs. Time to go racing!!
