2009 C63 AMG Dyno Question
Hey guys,
My question to MB owners/techs:
We have an 09 C63 Coming tomorrow morning to do a baseline pull on the dyno.
Is there anything we should know about, when dynoing these? Do any fuses have to be pulled for it to dyno? Any TC buttons?
Just don't want the guy to get here, and the wheels not move because of some speed sensors or limp modes.
We honestly, don't know much about German vehicles, and would appreciate any pointers.
Thank You,
Phil

I was on a Mustang dyno last weekend. If you look up dyno authority on the net, you can find the phone number. They're also called FAME automotive, I think, located in Redmond, WA. They didn't pull any fuses that I'm aware of.

No, you do not need to pull any fuses or anything like that. Just turn off ESP (traction control) and put the tranny to Manual. Optionally, you can put the car in "dyno mode" but I've tried it both ways and there was no difference what so ever.

Dyno mode puts the car into a specific set of operating parameters which are useful for when the car is going to be tested on a dynamometer. It shuts off traction control (ESP), power steering, ABS, and other things that might hamper the car's operation at full power when it's situated on the dyno.

Dynomode isn't needed on the C63 because it allows you to fully disable ESP through the button. On almost all other MB's, ESP is never fully off unless you enable dyno mode.
