Decisions on a C63
Will be my regular driver.......white and tan interior.........
Any of you whom has a C63 would reconsider your choice for say, an M3 sedan or even keep my SL (which has only 15,000 miles on it)?

Also if you get challenged by a M3 sedan driver you know he will be left in waves of dust and that amazing sound from the exhaust. (M3 driver's usually backs off when they see a C63 though)

Went out in the M3 first, nice car...not as crisp steering as the older M3, road noise, as far as engine noise / gear...just kind of lame? Kind of plain interior wise...I just was'nt really moved. Next, got into the C63...Wow! Beautiful seating, Fantastic Alcantara Steering wheel! The 19" AMG wheels...just gorgeous! And when that thing fired up...Wow! Getting to the ride...C63 seemed better sprung, livelier and just ready to rumble and oh, that exhaust note! It even smells better...it isn't hard to say what one I bought. I've owned a ton of beautiful cars, from BMW's to Lamborghini's...this C63 is one slick hotrod!

Wife prefers the M3, I like the C63,......but to be honest, both miss the refinement of the SL by a large margin........
BUT, I need an everyday driver, not a garaged car that I can only drive (in Canada) 6 months out of the year......
I was really looking to see if any current C63 had a little buyer's remorse or not and why.....

theres very little buyer's remorse here and i think you will se the same on M3post.
Both cars are brilliant, honestly i think if i bought a M3 rather than my 63 I would still be happy right now. M3 is a bit more money especially up here in canada and you really need a good aftermarket exhaust to make it nearly as exciting as a C63.
However I see your wife is probably gonna drive it so you are going for a auto anyways. In this case i would whole heartedly say get a C63. As brilliant as M3's auto is it is more of a sporty unit than for daily driving.
In fact a lot of people chose m3 over C63 only due to the fact you can get manual tranny with m3.
Get either C63 auto or M3 manual and you won't be disappointed.
The interior looks much newer, the gauge cluster, the nav screen...everything. All the gadgets work better....its just an all around newer car in every way. That alone, to me, makes it feel much more "refined".
As for M3 vs C63...ton of threads on this for you to peruse but for me it was a no brainer. The M3 lacks torque, plain and simple. You need to rev it sky high to get it to go anywhere. Nevermind the fact that if Im in an M3, anytime I see a C63 I would think "damn...well I COULD have gotten that if I wanted it, but I didnt, Im happy...yeah, Im happy...."
Instead now I get that look from M3 drivers

after researching i also liked the like of the c63. it has a classy/luxury look as well as a nice sporty look. the m3 seems to me as only sporty and no luxury. another thing i do not really like about the m3 is that it looks too similar to the regular 3 series cars. sure it has the quad pipes and a bulge in the hood but that is about it.
I don't know if I'd say the word refined for our cars. I'd go for classy.
C63s and M3s are both great cars. M3s handle better but have less torque. But unless you are planning to seriously track your car, the handling difference won't count. Don't try to decide it logically or you'll probably regret it. Both cars have strenghts and weaknesses and are almost equivalent. They are both brilliant. Just pick one with your heart. (tacky!)
That reminds me of a joke here in Brazil: one man wanted to decide logically between two weman. So, he asked both to cook a meal, wash some clothes and buy a present to him. Both were great. He ate well, had everything cleaned up perfectly and got two lovely gifts. So he chose the one with the nicer ***.
