I heard that Evosport is making Carbon Roof for C63. Is this ture? If you can loose good amount of weight on the roof the cars performance should change alot. Did anybody heard about this?

Wasnt they in the process of making some wide rear fenders also? Any news on this ? The CF roof would be a good weight reduction i think...

Brad,
How does the C/F roof work into the interior and whats the weight savings if we delete the sun roof?? I am very interested. We road race this car and losing a couple hundred pounds off the top would be incredible. What can you tell me?
Are you going to offer a fender/rear package in the future like Josh's car?

Thanks! We are pretty happy with the way it came out.
The first install was on a very custom C63, so it is hard to tell you all the answers.
For the headliner you will need to do what we do with the BMW's and Porsches. (1) is to use a non sunroof headliner (I believe these are available from Europe special order) or (2) use the oe headliner and afix the slide for the moonroof in place so it is sealed. Option 2 is most common and does not cost much.
On the M3, the savings is 40+ lbs, so I would assume the same on the C. Maybe a tad more. But taking even near 50lbs off the roof is a HUGE gain. Much more impact than taking 200+ lbs off the bottom of the car.
We can only do fenders here, they are metal not composite. If there was enough interest, we could mold them and do them in CF or FRP or PUR I suppose.
thanks
Brad

If anyone don't want the hassle of taking your whole roof apart and sacrificing the sunroof, why not do the 3M Dry Carbon Vinyl.
We can now supply those vinyls. They're just like tint films, great DIY fun.
Let me know by email.
thx

We only sell the Matt Carbon Effect Sheets cos the gloss or other vinyls are too fake.
As you all know, we product genuine dry/wet carbon products ourself, today, we're selling this vinyl stickers because we do think there're parts in your car that can not be moulded to carbon and it's really much more cost effect to do with just some stickers.
And I'm telling you these vinyls, you can FEEL the texture of the carbon patterns and they're VERY real, YES, even to us.
Please find here the pictures;

It is a complete roof panel replacement and it will eliminate the sunroof completely.
This is a great option if you are looking for a cometic only modification. We used to import the Revozport line and they do a nice job!
Remember, that the full replacement while more expensive, is a true performance upgrade, taking 50+ lbs off the top of the car!
Yep, I do live in Tustin.
The custom work on the fenders is price to quote only. Are you looking to do the exact same thing or something different?
thanks
