Right tire wear > Left tire wear?
Right tire wear > Left tire wear?
I wonder if anyone can answer this for me. I have about 2500 miles since I picked up my 2010 C63. I followed the break in procedure for the first 1000 miles. After the break in period, I did not drive the car hard except for rare quick acceleration as I do mostly local driving.
Yesterday, I checked the tire wear for the rears prior to changing over to the winter set and noticed that right rear seems to have worn out significantly more than the left.
Can anyone explain this to me?
I do not have a limited slip differential. Will installing a LSD help this phenomenon?
Just curious as to what causes this...
Thanks in advance

I had exactly the same problem and several people on the forum confirmed that its common on cars without LSD. Apparently the car puts most of its power down through the right rear tire (as do most cars without limited slips). A couple people with LSD even said their car wears the right rear faster than the left. The PZeros are realy soft and dont last very long, so many people switch to a tire with better tread life. I went with Sumitomos HTRZIII and like them a lot. You will be replacing rear tires quite often on this car, so it all depends on your budget and driving style. Good luck and enjoy the car.

Nope, there is no rotational arrow simply an outside designation for the tire mounter. Take one off and sit it next to the mounted one on the other side and you will see how the tread is the same.

Ever see pictures of drag cars on launch and there always tweaked to one corner? same thing except they have pretty weak bodies.

I am willing to pay up for the necessities of owning a car like this. I just needed to know WHY.
Thanks again.
