Cracked Front bumper options
Driving down the freeway today I had a little run in with a tape measure. I think the driver of the truck in front of me placed it on the hood, then forgot about it... anyhow, I saw it about 30 feet in front of me bouncing at about 20 miles per hour in my lane...
"Please stop bouncing" I yelled, but it didn't hear me and I hit it with my front bumper. I was hoping I would drive over it, but I heard a thud, then saw the tape measure in front of my car again, now doing about 70. Now the bottom of my bumper has about a 2 inch crack.
What are the options for fixing it?
since the bumper is plastic, do I have to get a new bumper? or can a body shop fix plastic parts?

you do know that guy is responsible for anything that fell off his vehicle and hit you right? now if it was in the road (which i doubt because you said you thought it came off his vehicle) and he hit it and threw it up onto your vehicle then he isnt at fault. i know this doesnt answer your question but just in case you got his license number. of course you would have to prove what happened which maybe hard.
but to answer just take it to a couple places and see if they can fill it. a new bumper is going to be large coin i bet.

stitch it up with zip ties..

The guy that used the sharpie is a genius... that looked really good.
@MikeS54 - Yeah, onle 2,400 miles so far. I was really careful with this car. My last car, a G35 was dinged and scratched. I consider that one my practice car so my C63 was spotless.
Things like this really get to you. Before I started driving that day, I put in a quart of oil... that took about 5 minutes. If I have not done that, I would never had hit that tape measure.
Life is a game of seconds!
