Also take note the black car's front bumper only has 1 vent as well, they did away with the factory double shark gills, and the front fenders are much wider than the white car's front fenders. The white car is still using a stock front bumper with a lower lip.

Looks like the Black car has tacked on front fender extensions, on the stock front fenders while the white car has a Lorinser style front fender with the two scallops.....

I just want a subtle rear widebody kit (no vents or any of that stuff) to make the car about 40 mm wider on each side. Maybe even wider fenders for the front too, but nothing drastic (20 mm at the most) as the front is already wider than the rear as it is.

The only thing I like about either car is the double fender vents on the white one.
As far as the rest of the kit goes, I don’t like the just ‘stuck on over the existing panels look’, it cheapens the car in my opinion.

Agreed! Is there a way to make them less noticeble?

This is exactly why we're having this discussion, to see what the general consensus is here. I personally agree with Boost Gomez regarding something along the lines of 40mm+- wider rear and possible 20mm +- on the front, with a nice rear diffuser, and cap it off with a nice front spoiler. I am torn on what to do on the rear trunk however, I'm playing with ideas at the moment.

Sorry for the huge pic, but it helps depict the idea best..

You should be commended for working towards offering C63 owners more alternatives for their vehicles. I tend to lean towards subtle styling compared to the ‘in your face look’. Still that’s just my personal taste and I can definitely see the merit for those who want a full race look. Good job, hopefully more owners will express an opinion.

Wow, looks like we're a split decision on the styling. Please submit your votes!! Let's see if we can get a clear winner

I hope you guys get something going by the time I (lol, I'm already deciding) on getting a C63 and stepping out of my E55. The black one with no vents, I think nice smooth and clean is the way to go.

I love the idea of being able to fit wider tires... this is one of my complaints with the C63. I've just ordered new wheels and with only a 10" in the rear that can hold a 275 before rubbing. That really isn't much rubber for a 500HP car (which is easily had with a few upgrades). We burn through our tires in no time and although it's kind of fun to be able to light the tires up easily.... the car is lacking mechanical grip. This is especially evident when you look at the skid pad #'s or take it to the track (race or strip).
If there was a cost effective kit that looked good and helped fit larger wheels. That would be a good trick. The only problem that I see with these kits is that the door is involved and it just doesn't look that great being broken up like that.

New question
How would you guys feel about a rear fender only set up. Something to just balance the car as if should have been from the factory?? Something like say.. Josh's car?

There is no easy way any bumper additions are not going to look that they have been added on unless you spend a fortune like Josh for his read body addition, .
Kudos to Brian to try to make something happen in the US.
If the bumpers above are "cheap" enough, I think you may have a market.
Regarding Josh's question, I am not sure I understand how you will do a rear bumber that will widen the body without having an add on for the doors. Please elaborate. You are going in the right direction, as I tend to be like everyone thinking I do not need anything in the front but want something in the back making it wider so I can potentially fit wider tires.

I don't know what Brian has in mind, but I'd recommend a kit that has door additions (something that can either be put on with adhesive or molded in), new running boards, new bumper (or bumper additions like the doors), and the new rear fenders. The fenders can be whichever material suits you and could attach with a lip that folds back under the top of the addition to provide room to rivet or whatever to the remaining/existing body. The seams could either be left visible to save cost or glassed/bondo'd in to look more OE.
Just throwing some fuel on the fire...
Josh
