Looking for CLS55 AMG
ok.... no mention of the eurocharged tune. Additionally he is a kleeman dealer. Take it with a grain of salt.

Its your money, do what you wish with it, i'd just hate for you to spend more money than you need to.

Additionally all engines are hand built. It really needs to be the same car, same dyno same everything. I doubt anyone is gonna have this data for you.

Bummer. You seemed so confident in your original post. I was really expecting some concrete data.

Bottom line: As far as performance goes, most of these tunes are going to produce similar results.

However, power isn't everything . . .

One of the biggest reasons for me (and I imagine others) going with Kleemann is the support you can find in the local MB dealer network. I have the luxury of having two nearby dealers that are Kleemann authorized and they'll even do the swap for me with no warranty issues. I'll happily pay the extra $200 over a competing tune for a peaceful night's sleep.

Happy Holidays!

Has your mileage improved (from 14 mpg) since it's been 'broken in'?

How hard do you drive (i.e. how many WOT events per trip, tranny in auto mode or manual)?

The US numbers are 12/19 mpg (15 combined cycle): http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/noframes/25925.shtml

German engines are known for a slow break-in process (>40kmi), after which there are usually noticeable improvements in both power and FE, along with a reduction in oil cosumption (once the rings are fully bedded).

I haven't heard anybody complain about oil consumption on this site (like previous gen M5s, etc.), so I was wondering if this engine breaks in faster.

1,600 miles on the clock now. Plenty of WOT runs on the dyno and the highway.

My overall average is close to 15mpg now. If I don't get on it, I'm around 18mpg during the week (My commute is 90% highway)

I put in 1/2 quart of 0w40 at 1,000 miles.

Great feedback - thanks!

I'm going for my test drive tomorrow.
