ACG Tuning in Seattle!!! Jan 14-15th 2010!

It has been set, I will be coming out to Washington a few days before MLK weekend!

All flashes will be completed on the spot, no shipping or waiting for your ECU to return.

for those who can not take the morning off, we can make arrangements for me to read the file prior, and I can have a file ready for you later that day.

A board member can also arrange a dyno session if this is something that you would like to have.

Give us a call to leave a small $200 deposit.

Sounds terrific, James!

A few questions:

1) Which tunes will you be offering--Renntech, Kleemann, Powerchip, all of the above?

2) Prices for each (feel free to PM me if you'd like)?

3) Will these tunes be done with our cars on a dyno, i.e. an individually tailored tune? Or will it simply be an off-the-shelf "flash" tune?

3.5) If there will by dynos involved, will the prices reflect that?

4) Will your tune-site (if it hasn't been determined yet, no worries) have a dyno available so the option of dynoing the car after the tune can be available for us who wish to do so?

4.5) Reason why I'm asking #4 is: in case we get our ecu's flashed, and for some oddity the dynos only show minimal gain (say ~20hp or so), will you be able to fix the problems there on the spot so we wouldn't have to send our ecu's to you for fixing?

5) I can schedule myself off on Jan 14th, but that would be the only possible day. Is there a sign-up sheet or will there be plenty of time available?

Thanks!

A few questions:

1) Which tunes will you be offering--Renntech, Kleemann, Powerchip, all of the above?

We can actually offer, a few different tunes, Obviously Kleemann and RENNtech, if you would like powerchip we can also offer that as well. We also have access to the Singh Autosport tune as well

2) Prices for each (feel free to PM me if you'd like)?

Kleemann $1495
RENNtech $3495
Powerchip $1990

depending on how many people we get signed up, that will dictate the discount level. I would need atleast 3 vehicles to tune to cover my cost.

3) Will these tunes be done with our cars on a dyno, i.e. an individually tailored tune? Or will it simply be an off-the-shelf "flash" tune?

these tunes are standard tunes as on the 6.3 AMG's there really is not advantage of a dyno tune unless you have more then the simply bolt on's.

3.5) If there will by dynos involved, will the prices reflect that?

If you would like a dyno, I have no problem doing that, I would simply read the files send them out while your vehicle is being strapped in. After the baseline, we would simply load the new tuned file and let her rip. Dyno fee will be the responsibility of the vehicle owner. As I do not work with any shops up in the pacific northwest.

4) Will your tune-site (if it hasn't been determined yet, no worries) have a dyno available so the option of dynoing the car after the tune can be available for us who wish to do so?

I will be flashing these vehicles from my hotel room, unless we decide to dyno, then I can flash at the dyno facility as long as they are ok with it.

4.5) Reason why I'm asking #4 is: in case we get our ecu's flashed, and for some oddity the dynos only show minimal gain (say ~20hp or so), will you be able to fix the problems there on the spot so we wouldn't have to send our ecu's to you for fixing?

Not a problem, I would not want to leave Seattle until all customers are satisfied with the tune.

5) I can schedule myself off on Jan 14th, but that would be the only possible day. Is there a sign-up sheet or will there be plenty of time available?

this tread is the sign up sheet, also please call to leave a small deposit.

Let me know if you have any more questions, happy holidays!

I'm in, looking for the Kleemann K1 and hoping there is enough interest to get the group a discount. I'll send a deposit once I'm home from vacation on Monday.

I'll talk to Carb Connection in Kirkland, WA about dyno time as well.

James, can you tell me how much time would it take in between runs to load the software?

Example. Pull up to the rollers, strap on, get a couple baseline dynos done . . . INSERT TIME HERE FOR UPLOADING NEW TUNE . . . get a couple post-tune dynos done.

Thanks!

I'm also looking for a K1 tune.

Hey, superlubricity, you had mentioned something about the possibility of setting up a dyno spot for that day? Is that a feasible option?

Edit: I posted this before I saw your post above mine. Haha.

If we are dynoing, I'd like to meet before hand to rip the files, so this way it will only take less then 5 minutes to load the file. Other wise, we will have to wait for the tune file to be emailed back to me from.

What's the non-group discount rate? I'm pretty much in either way.

Anyone else wants to jump in??

If we get 5 guys, we can offer a 5% discount, if we get 10 I'll offer 10% off On any of the tunes.

I will be flying in on Wednesday Evening, and would like to meet with you guys if possible to read the ecu's. This way I'll have your tuned files by the morning and will help expedite the dyno process.

I already have the K1 installed now for over 2 months and would love to be their to compare Dyno numbers, but I will be out of town on Business, BUMMER.... I have to say I am very happy so far the Kleeman K1 but I am still pondering the K2 but am a littel afraid of the extra noise after doing the headers and cats. Some people say its ok noise wise and others say its too noisy???? I wish you guys all the best of luck and hope you guys post the DYNO numbers when you are done.
Happy Holidays.

Bummer indeed. I say reschedule your trip.

I'm also thinking about headers but I really want to hear them in person before making a move. I don't want to wake the neighbors every morning and I don't want any in-cabin drone.

I'll be posting a TON of information after the dyno runs.
