C63 bodyshops in the DC area

I just hit 1300 miles, and I'm getting some mod fever (had the windows tinted last night). I'm hoping for some people that are in the DC area to chime in regarding bodyshops they've been to and trust, so I can leave my baby with someone other than some random bodyshop.

The coming upgrades I'm looking to do include some CF additions that will require removing some OE pieces and an Evosport flash / pulley (I'll head to Designo per Evosport's recommendation for that).

Thanks!

I would trust this place. They are in Waldorf, MD - about hour outside of DC.

They painted my buddy's 350Z in the In Press section at the lower left hand corner of the website as well as the featured car.

The shop I always hear good reviews about is Wagon Werks in Alexandria. As for the tune, I'd suggest to save some money and go with the LET/Eurocharged tune. Plus, they are coming to our area in a month or two.

What kind of work have they done for you?

I'm in DC proper - NE. You? Are there any local meets that happen regularly?

I had aftermarket bumpers put on my previous cars. Painted/fitted over at D&V.
For C63, so far, I had my reflectors painted. I currently have Euroteck front lip and rear diffuser on my car if you want to check them out in person. I work in NE but live in VA

There are a couple of C63 owners in this area, but no regular meets..

What'd painting them run you? And I am browsing for a CF spoiler & diffuser install place, so I'd for sure like to see how they installed, etc.

And do you think there would be enough interest for a solid meet when the weather turns?

it was around 6 hundred. I had my spoiler and diffuser at this tire place in woodbridge. it was cheap and okay but if i had to get it mounted again, I'd just take it to a good bodyshop.

Thanks for the insight. How much was it to OE paint the reflectors?

There are local meets that happen pretty often when the weather is nicer. absolutelydriven.com is our local euro website. I actually host some private 1/4 mile track rentals a few times a year too if you're interested. I can also let you guys know of future local meets as well

When is Eurocharged coming to the area? Thinking about upping the boost

Ok I will let you guys know when I hear of meets.

Thanks for the Eurocharged date Still debating on whether I should raise the boost or not. Don't know if the motor can handle more boost with the high compression

These guys are the worst shop. Their work is not very good.

They did a respray of a hood, roof, trunk for me to the tune of $1000. They were supposed to fix a dent in the hood which they half a$$ed and when I complained to them, all they said was that's the best we can do and it's a black car that shows everything. Not only that, the resprayed sections faded less than a year after I had them painted and the clear coat is now devoid on all parts they sprayed.

They did an accident repair for my pops' e420 as well and it's just as bad. They never did get the passenger window to work correctly.

Save your money and find another shop....seriously.

I had a lot of work done on my CL after an SUV backed into my front bumber. It took a LONG time and there were so many paint issues after I got it back. There were overspray marks on the undamaged areas, tape residue that was cleared over, and bubbles in the paint. It was almost $5000 in repair work that took about 3 months to finish when everything was said and done. They installed my CF lip and did a cr@p job. I pulled it off and ended up re-doing it myself.
As far as motor work...Funktion in Sterling does great work. They do work on my CL at very good rates and also have no problem working on my police interceptor(daily driver).
