Guys - RELAX!! This is not a pissing contest. JRCart's car is awesome and I wouldn't try to compare the two. You can't compare a four door sedan with a specifically build "Black Series" performance car. Jim, you have to admit that you do mod your car for the 1/4 mile runs. You have specific wheels, suspension settings, and tires. We both enjoy modding our cars and should not be competing for the top spot. If I get close then thats great and fun but you have the better platform.
With reference to spending, you can check out the MHP website for pricing on all my mods.
I do have HRE 18" wheels and 555 Nitto drag radials on them but we are running the M/T drag radials on the stock rear wheels. All my suspension is completely stock. Lets race and enjoy it, not argue about it.

jrcart has (in the past) said that money is no object and so it's good to use his experience as a base, I think. And if MHP is putting out either less or more expensive mods to get to the same point than other tuners, that's worthwhile to note. With your car, we know what you've done, but I wasn't sure what jrcart has done (and it changed a lot in the past, iirc.)
And yeah, thumbs up to both of you, of course.

I can tell you guys I am very pleased to see TWO 63's running sub 11.30's , I wan't a battle but a respectful one.
Rick is about to unleash the Silver Mako so the records may once again change.
Jim I will check tonight to see if I got the slip.

I would challenge anyone on this board to a 0-100-0, cone guided u-turn, and 0-100-0 back race. I honestly don't think there is a street legal, road going AMG on this site that could top my car...and that is a test of all around performance, that is what I built my car for, all around domination! SL 65 Black Series won't touch me in the braking department or handling, SLR won't touch me in the the handling department, an SLS won't hang under acceleration but would prob out brake and possibly out handle my car, there is not a sedan on this site that could touch my car under those conditions, but if anone wants to try lemme know.

Mo, have you been hitting the crack pipe since the last time I saw you last January? How do you figure his car is less modded than mine?
He has headwork on his car therefore his car is more heavily modded than mine, I have all BOLT-ON MODS, last time I checked ported and polished heads did not fall under the category of BOLT-ON. So unless you want to call my 75 pound roll bar a mod, or my steel brake lines a mod his car is more heavily modded in the engine department...and before the word Dymag comes out of your mouth, I run Forgeline wheels at the strip. Did you sip the MHP kool-aid or slam it? I love this $h!t, it does noting but motivate me to do more to my car. I gave Keith his props his caar is quick. Mo, please call it how you see it and don't try to twist the facts up to suit whatever agenda you are currently pimping.

I honestly believe, which I'm sure you'll agree, that Keith could've ran 11.1 or 11.0 had he ran MT tires or at least had more than 1 run in during the entire event, which makes his pass an even more amazing one. Anyways, you both have incredibly quick/fast super ultimate cars and props to both of you for such amazing numbers on the 63 platform

It's time we all start to agree that what you spend on your car is not near as important as the amount of satisfaction that you extract from it. Keith and Jim are both pushing the 63 motor to higher and higher performance levels and obviously enjoying every single minute behind the wheel. That is all that really matters. ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
I have never enjoyed a car as much as my C63. I've made many trips down the 1/4 mile, been to a couple road course DE's with another 2 weeks away, spent time with other car nuts that get together as Orlando Automotive Club and shared lots of stories with members on this forum. From my perspective every dime invested in my car, is money well spent for the reasons just stated.
PS. Damn good job Keith.......now we need to focus on getting mine down a couple hundreds at least to knock the Rennteck car off the second place podium.

Too much BS (and that's not standing for Black Series) going on now. I have a ton of respect for the BS cars and J's in particular from what I have read, but I am totally in awe of Dad's car.

I think the evosport headers are pricier than the MHP headers, the MHP ECU tune is more expensive than Powerchip/evosport tune . Not sure what he paid for his headwork, but I'm sure it puts him well above what I have spent in the engine + tune + exhaust $$$ department. So if you want to talk about bang for your buck it's up in the air, but lets be honest, it's not even about that, any one of us could drop $10k on a used Mustang, spend another $12k in mods and have a 10 second car. I did not even want to start an arguement on this topic, it was someone else that falsely stated my car was more heavily modded than DadsC3/Keith when in fact it is the other way around if talking strictly about engine type mods. Yes, as a whole my car is more heavily modded...it's safe to say it's lots more modded but most of those mods will never be realized at the drag strip, just like my line-locker and M/T's could never be considered beneficial road racing mods.
I would challenge anyone on this board to a 0-100-0, cone guided u-turn, and 0-100-0 back race. I will go back and pull the receipts and see what all these mods will cost you. You guys get the benefit of our R&D so you only need to purchase the final products. I will advise but I believe its all less the $20,000-$25,000.

Okay Guys,
Most of you already know that I have tried many parts and now have mostly MHP products. With that being said you need to know that I have gotten some preferencial pricing but here it is. I just talked to Andy and he said it was okay to post and these are ALL my mods. Put these together and you should be able to replicate my times.
In Order of installation.
MHP V3 CDT Tune - Retail $4495 / paid $2995
MHP L/T 1-7/8" SS Headers/mids - Retail $5495 / paid $3995 (catless)
MHP Thermalnator Intake Gasket - Retail $299.95 / paid $279.97
MHP 185 Thermostat - Retail $299 / paid $279
MHP/Carbonio Airboxes with foam filters Retail $1950 / paid $1700
MHP Race Ported Heads - Retail $4995 / paid $3995
MHP 3" SS Cat back race Exhaust Retail $3495 / paid $2495
Retail $19,529.90 / paid $15,739.90
A LOT less than I thought. More than I'd like to admit to but very affordable for the performance I have received.
I also have HRE wheels and EvoSports 2-piece lightweight rotors.
Thats it guys. I have laid it all out there on the line. No holding back. If I have forgotten anything then its only because I can't remember it.
I did try a converter and didn't keep it. I did try the MKB headers/tune and got more from the MHP products. Gentlemen, learn from my experiences and expenses.![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Thats all there is guys. I have NOTHING else. Now, lets go racing!!
FWIW - My good friend Ben went to Brandenton tonight and ran 11.28, 11.30, and 11.34. All in the 123 to 124mph range so the 11.24 was NOT a fluke. Good news to me.
OKAY - JRCart - your turn.

Good job!! What kind of weight reduction?
If cams ever become available, look out!
BTW my Charger cost 40K and with 15K in speed mods I've hit 11.23@122MPH with stock-block N/A 6.1 Hemi. Yes, it is still a Dodge though so you got me there:-)

Why not share all kinds of info. There's no reason not to; it's not a pissing match and never should be. It's just a community of AMG owners wanting to show the rest of the world what can be done with this platform.

2009 C63 AMG
I love modifying cars and doing 1/4 mile racing, but the costs for the aftermarket for the C63 just drive me away from that.
I wanted a new project to replace my Whipple 03 Cobra, so it was either mod the C63 and get a new daily driver, or buy something else to mod. After reading posts like these it makes me feel better about my decision.
Props to both of you guys for pushing the 63 motor down the 1/4 so quick ! Makes me jealous !

FWIW - My good friend Ben went to Brandenton tonight and ran 11.28, 11.30, and 11.34. All in the 123 to 124mph range so the 11.24 was NOT a fluke. Good news to me.
OKAY - JRCart - your turn.![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

JRCart - I think the small amount(in persepcive) that I have spent is a lot less than you and everyone else anticipated.
You still adding up the receipts??
