jrcart has (in the past) said that money is no object and so it's good to use his experience as a base, I think. And if MHP is putting out either less or more expensive mods to get to the same point than other tuners, that's worthwhile to note. With your car, we know what you've done, but I wasn't sure what jrcart has done (and it changed a lot in the past, iirc.)
And yeah, thumbs up to both of you, of course.
Cheers.

Okay Guys,
Most of you already know that I have tried many parts and now have mostly MHP products.
...
Retail $19,529.90 / paid $15,739.90
A LOT less than I thought. More than I'd like to admit to but very affordable for the performance I have received.
I also have HRE wheels and EvoSports 2-piece lightweight rotors.
OKAY - JRCart - your turn.

Well... did he? Would be illuminating to see an itemized list of your performance mods as well.

C63 507 AMG DA Car #19
And the same parts for a FORD...
Also for comparison.... the same parts for the old standby 5.0 mustang:
In Order of installation.
MHP V3 CDT Tune - Retail $4495 / paid $2995 -Diablosport Predator handheld tuner and CMR dyno tuning - $700
SCT Switch Chip and dyno tuning - $400
MHP L/T 1-7/8" SS Headers/mids - Retail $5495 / paid $3995 (catless) - Kook's 1 3/4" Jet Hot ceramic coated headers/mids w/cats -$1500
BBK Headers / X-pipe $500
MHP Thermalnator Intake Gasket - Retail $299.95 / paid $279.97
BWoody thermalator intake gasket - $100
Intake Gasket - $20
MHP 185 Thermostat - Retail $299 / paid $279
Motorad 170 thermostat - $25
Same as Motorad - we use a 180 degree
MHP/Carbonio Airboxes with foam filters Retail $1950 / paid $1700
RDP intake - $300
AFS Powerpipe - $250
MHP Race Ported Heads - Retail $4995 / paid $3995
HHP/BES ported heads - $2500 retail/ paid $1200 used
AFR185's w/1.6 stud mount rr's used $1K
MHP 3" SS Cat back race Exhaust Retail $3495 / paid $2495
Zoomers stainless 3" catback - $1200
Magnaflow superturbo catback - $260
Retail $19,529.90 / paid $15,739.90
Paid $5025
Paid - (ford) - $2095
No pissing contest, and in the end it's a diff type of car.... BUT... it is good to know these parts can be mfr'd for alot less given a diff market and consumer expectations
.....
Also regarding the Black Series VS C63 - For some reason the C63 has 2 more doors but weighs less...... so I'm not surprised the lower cost C63 can be made to go as fast or faster than the BS. I also wonder if the road-race suspension of the BS slows it down in the 1/4 mile vs the C63. Or can the BS adjust suspension be tweaked to optimize wgt transfer and hook-up for the 1/4 mile. Drag racers know there is a serious diff between a good roadrace suspension and a good drag race suspension.

Guys - all due respect, the "well it would cost THIS much on THIS platform" posts are way off-topic. Noboby was even talking about those comparisons... I've seen many cars run quicker/faster for way less than any AMG. Turbo integras, Civics, Mustangs, etc.
IMHO, this is a discussion of what it takes to get a 63 AMG to an N/A performance level of low 11's @ mid 120's.

Dads_C63 - Out of curiosity do you recall what some of your stock times were? I'm curious how much speed you picked up in your trap. With my setup, I was able to pick up a solid 8 mph in my trap speed with the same crappy 2.3 60'.

Bone stock it ran 12.217 @ 114.45mph
We've picked up almost a full second and 10mph!!
You can modify a Ford, Chevy, or Dodge but in the end you still have a Ford, Chevy, or Dodge. No offense, I like them all but lets stop trying to compare. What you are sharing is NOT a revelation to those of us that have owned a Ford, Chevy, and Dodge. They are all fun as well.

2019 E63s AMG
i got to this post late, but i would take on that 0-100-0 challenge all day long and im near Chicago! I would put the aftermarket brabus suspension, Brembo GT Brake Kit, H&R sways and the Quaife LSD and 440rwhp against the black series ... would be a fun test
Plus jCart you were supposed to come to Winged Warrior last year and bust out some of that type of stuff with the Black Series. Woulda been nice to see 2 benz in the top tier!
If your not using nitrous i bet it would be a fun challenge

Congrats on the time and having a really fast C63! I love the C63...
Hope you will keep it away from going with GAS in the future, GAS is for dragsters not a road cars.

YAWWWWN...
Yesterday my car ran an 11.03 @ 127mph with a .008RT. And this was on street tires with a messed up tranny. It was awesome.
And then I woke up. And it became suddenly much less awesome.
Dads, your car definitely has the C class performance crown.

Apples to oranges.....F/I 5.0 Litre parts have been around since '86 (that's 24 years!)....i had a stang when i was in high school running 11.50's all day with a 175 Shot of NOS but you wouldn't see a valet park it at the front of the lot would you?
To see a luxury car run 11.20's on the motor is insane....and you have to pay to make it happen.....

Juicee63,
Went to Orlando Spin World today and didn't have much luck. Talked to Randy(track owner) and they just scrapped the track over the holidays and today was the first day open. Needless to say there was NO rubber on the Track. We spun all day long. FRUSTRATING when its 42 degrees outside and sunny in Florida!!!! How often do we see that, NEVER!!
Anyway, made lots of passes and had four in the 124 range with one thats a new record for me. Here they are:
11.409 @ 124.03 with a 1.708 60'.
11.333 @ 124.20 with a 1.683 60'.
11.371 @ 124.41 with a 1.706 60'.
11.339 @ 124.81 with a 1.710 60'.
Ya'll keep racing and be safe!!

Juice: there has been much debate over the "fastest 63" for a while now. From what I understand, you have the time slips. So what is it? Who has the fastest time slip for a C63 in the 1/4 mile?

Josh...did you get my slip I faxed to you on Monday? If so you will notice this is NOT a new record, but Keith is getting VERY close. I faxed you my N/A slip 11.22, by my math I still have a 2/100th advanage as well as an advantage in the mph/trap department
Not trying to take anything away from you Keith, nice run, you probably would have improved and beaten my time if you were able to make more than that one single pass.
Lat week you were griping about poor conditions in Florida LOL, sounds like a real fast track last night

Actually over $20k for seats and rims...not including tires, but who's counting.
Guys, I'm in vegas and then flying straight to Dallas, don't have reciepts handy but I can give you an approx break down
Evosport LT headers & exhaust about $11k
Evo/PC ecu tune $2k
Airbox/intake mods about $2k
Pulley $1k
Forgeline 17 wheels with MT Street ETs $3k
Evosprt line locker $500
Those are the only mods that really contribute to 1/4 mile performance. If you want to add up all the money I have into the car including dymags, suspension, corner balancing, brake rotors, brake lines, seats multiple ecu's, multiple ecu tunes, multiple airboxes/intakes , roll bar, racing harnesses, NOS system, etc I am at well over $100k in mods, but again most of these mods benefits will never be realized on a drag strip.

Props to JRCART for the list, 19,500 in just 1/4 mile upgrades. Hopefully he can get 10's out of it for that price tag (with a time slip/ video).

Can you read? I have about $22k in mods that will assist me at the strip! Besides that as I stated already in that $100k figure there are lots of duplicate parts, multiple exus ( over $5000 in MHP tunes I've thrown away). BTW my car is running 10.7's on NOS, that 11.0 is about a year old....so if you look at the number Keith and I have spent similar money on our drag racing relevant mods.
