You can adjust the reading which you consider nominal via the instrument panel settings pages.

I have ours set for 40 psi on all four corners. Am running one size up from stocks as of last month when we did the first tire change since new (6000 miles).

On the driver's door-post placard, 41/45 psi for front/rear stock tires, however, per the owner's manual, on the fuel filler door, another placard additionally listing 39 psi on all four tires.

We have the performance package with 18 inch rims.

I started out at 39 all around but after some experimentation have settled on 36 F/R (PP-equipped). YMMV.

do you know what your baseline setting was? If it was 39 psi from the beginning then there is a chance that the tire pressure is off. I would recommend increasing the tire pressure to 39 psi and then reset the system.

I've found my +pp car to be very sensitive about tire pressure. My door sticker has 41 psi front and 45 on the back. my light will only go out with those pressures

PP 272-273 C-Class Operator's Manual tells you how to reset the TPMS for the new tire pressures you have chosen. Those pressures will then be normative.
