Dyno Results Before/After Eurocharged Ecu Tune

first off, i want to thank Eurocharged Performance and Jerry for providing the ecu tune on my car. I received it in a drawing in the Pay It Forward thread. I will soon be posting my PIF item as well.

i scheduled for my baseline dyno today and worked with Steve from Autoscope. so far, Steve has been a pleasure to work with and has helped me a great deal. the shop looks awesome too. then my ecu will be pulled and shipped from autoscope to eurocharged. they will tune it tomorrow when they receive it and then ship it right back out so that i receive it wednesday. then i'll be doing another dyno to see the results and posting those in this thread as well. i can't wait

anyway, all i have to post today is my baseline dyno results. this was actually my first dyno ever, so it was exciting witnessing it. i think the numbers were good and normal. the one i'm posting was the highest one.

i also don't know how to do any of that correction stuff with these numbers so feel free to post anything to help. thanks

Mustang Dynamometer - PowerDyne

Maximum Power: 352.5 @ 6856 RPM / 136.5MPH
with WCF 345.7

Maximum Torque: 342.1 @ 5061 RPM / 100.8MPH
with WCF 335.4

4th Gear

p.s. is it just me, or did a lot of people post dyno graphs today?

Looks Good!

Thanks for posting
Tuned: Look for the HP numbers to keep rising from 5,000rpm to redline
Stock: The HP curve is fairly flat from 5,000rpm to redline

Yeah, one of the guilty ones...guess with tax return money coming up, there are a lot of people rushing out to the "pre-spend" the money.

Good looking numbers. It'll be interesting to see the after numbers...my ECU is heading to Kleemann as we speak. It sounds like they are all pretty similar, so I guess we should be hoping for 30-40whp (at least).

I don't like my car without its brain...it just sits there looking at me, longing to be driven

what does WCF mean and is there a formula to convert these numbers to what the engine outputs? like what would 451hp translates into...

WCF = Weather Correction Factor

Yeah, both brains...although I have about 13 years left for my first to go. I should be through about 3-4 AMGs by then, and with the GI Bill that can now transfer to children, I won't have to worry about going back to a C300 or something.

Are you going to dyno this weekend when you get your ECU back?

my car is actually still sitting on the dyno with no brain. it'll be dynoed tomorrow when the ecu comes in.

Your HP was right in line with my runs. What is odd is the torque. Mine was 356.4ft-lbs @351.9HP. It's all about the gains.

It could just be the difference between the loud applied by the dyno machines. Just a guess?

I'm at the shop right now and we finished the 2nd run on the dyno and there was definitely an increase. I don't have the graphs right now to post but it was about a 35hp gain from what I saw. The ecu had 0 miles on it before the dyno. I don't know if anyone else has done a dyno immediately after a tune but the tech here told me there will probably be improvement once the ecu gets a chance to adapt a little. But overall I'm a happy camper. Just like that I have 35 plus a possibility of more. I'll leave the plus part as a mystery until I do any more upgrades that's worth another dyno. I'll be back with graphs later. Thanks Eurocharged for the tune.

We did my runs cold turkey with no drive time. ECU in and let her rip. I did drive the car after the dyno. Jerry wanted me to be completely sure everything was good to go before we buttoned her up. I believe the car is still adapting. Lets see some numbers!!!! Woooohooooo! Your going to love the butt dyno!!!

Yep can't wait to drive out of here. If yours was at 0 miles and you got those gains plus you might get more from adapting then dang you're lucky. I don't know if mine will get to your numbers but then again there are just so many variables to consider. At least I got gains. It's not like 10-15hp.

Congrats, man...looks like it is pretty even gains above 5K RPM...that will come in handy when racing some of the RPM monsters (M3/335i/etc.). That torque fade and flattening of the HP curve hurts sometimes, but you should be able to roll over those guys! Did you do a pre-1/4 mile time or at least a run or two in 4th gear to compare? I did a 3rd gear 50-80mph video so I could do it again at the exact same place and compare the time difference...no tracks in Oahu yet, so no 1/4 mile times for me (legally).

nah, no quarter mile times but it does feel a little quicker. i'm gonna try and drive it a little more aggressively for about a week. hopefully it'll go up. the torque numbers seem really low. but i guess it could be because it's a mustang dyno.

I got the same gains as you, 35HP to the wheels, dynoed right
after a Eurocharged flash. I too was told the car should make
more power as the ECU adapts.

I plan on going back to the same dyno in the near future to see
if the ECU adapted accordingly.

Before dyno numbers with K&N's and charcoals removed were:
379RWHP & 376RWTQ

After flash numbers were:
414RWHP & 386RWTQ

any tips on what to do while driving to make the ecu think "ok, this guy needs more power"

it sucks in the morning when you have to wait for the engine to warm up, also sucks in traffic. i've been staying in manual mode and just trying to be more spirited.

I've been just driving and enjoying myself.

I only drive it hard when the opportunity presents itslef.

I feel your pain, we had some unexpected snow this morning
in northern NJ, put my snow tires to good use.

Bah, I woke up this morning and somethign didn't seem right...damn snow. At least I only live a few miles from work and it wasn't too bad...Thankfully it has 95% melted this afternoon. Now if we can just keep the snow away next weekend when I head to VA to watch some tuning and on the 28th so we can have a good track day at MIR it will all be good.

To OP, congrats on the nice gains. Even better that it was PIF and you already mentioned you will PIF again.

Interesting results. I've seen a handful of C63's that, post-tuning, show almost zero gain below 5K rpm for both HP and TQ (like this one does). Above 5K is a totally different story, of course, at least somewhat by having the aftermarket ECU tune address the stock tune's intentional TB limitation.

If the graphs are to be believed, a full WOT blast should feel identical below 5K in any gear, but above 5K should be noticeably quicker/faster/more powerful.

Very cool that it's a PIF gift - thanks for dynoing pre- and post-tune and sharing the results.
