iPhone songs out of sync with CoMAND
its almost as if CoMAND can't read data fast enough from the iPhone so its displaying a mismatch between artist and song.
for example, when i'm browing for songs from a KISS album, i need to scroll way past the "K's" into the L's and sometimes M's. it is inconsistent.
bloody annoying too, as its a complete guessing-game.
if i scroll REALLY slowly though, it seems to be OK/.
any idea?
i'm stumped.

So, I unhooked my iPod (connected with the Passport charging adapter) from the MB installed iPod cable and then reconnected...seemed fine after.Anyhow, since I would like to see the song info on my main MultiMedia screen and it seems like ppl are having more success with the CF card/PCMCIA adapter, I just ordered a set from Amazon.com...$42.92 incl. shipping for an 8GB CF card + CF-PCMCIA Adapter.

The 'Command APS Owner’s Manual' does say that the PCMCIA setup can be slow to start-up depending on the volume of data stored.
I have a 2010 and use a 16GB USB memory stick with about 10GB of music on it and it’s instantaneous on both start-up and during play. It jumps from song to song, directory to directory or whatever as quickly as you can twiddle the command dial or steering wheel buttons.
.
If I'm bored, I'll post a video of it.

Description: Go to the menu to select list of Albums. Scroll down to the album and select. I selected Journey's Greatest Hits. It pulls the wrong album up, in this case, pulled up Here I Go by Whitesnake. Start the song, and you'll see the album name show Journey, and auto correct to Whitesnake shortly after once it realizes whats wrong.

THANK YOU!!!!! good to see im not the only one with this problem th ough it does seem to be a hollow victory...
so what can be done about it? RAGE i assume you have the factory iPhone kit?
BTW - the problem is the fact that the COMMAND system "loses" a couple albums when scrolling fast, but still references it by album #. In the video, you'll see the album list as:
The Guitar Hero II Recordings Vol 3
Horse of a Different Color
Inhuman Rampage
International Superhits
Jimmy Eat World
Journey: Greatest Hits
When in reality, on my iPhone it's:
The Guitar Hero II Recordings Vol 3
Hair Metal 100
Heavy Metal Soundtrack
Here I Go Again
Horse of a Different Color
Hot Rod Soundtrack
Inhuman Rampage
International Superhits
Jimmy Eat World
Journey: Greatest Hits
This is why when you're scrolling slow, it works. It doesn't "skip" a few albums, and the reference is correct and pulls the right album.

I followed the same steps in the video.
1. Very quickly scroll to an album (I went all the way to the G's, sorted alphabetically)
2. Select the Album
3. View list of tracks from the selected album (The tracks are correct for the album I selected)
4. Select track
5. Track begins to play
My setup is not suffering for the same "bug" as you've described and shown in the video.
How do you transfer all your iTunes music to the PCMCIA/CF card?

I can't seem to do this as iTunes allows you to "Export Library" to a CD/DVD only (doesn't allow you to choose a different media type). Then, when I try to simply 'copy & paste' all my songs from iTunes, it only copies & pastes 70 songs out of > 650 songs.

Right now, I'm trying a different Media Manager software program to try to transfer all my iTunes songs to my PCMCIA/CF card, so we'll see what happens. Thank you.
