I thought for the rears you had to take off the panel? That seems to be what everyone is saying on the w204 section.

Rear Install simplified

1) Unlock your rear doors.
2) Pull and twist to remove OEM Plastic Pin. Tip pull up as straight as possible
3) Install Stainless Steel AMG Pin (Female) over OEM plastic (Male) base Pin

Its that easy

Tks North! Since the rears slip over, do you see a gap when the pin is in the unlock position?

Sin. That last shot is of the Rear Unlocked. No gap. Caps extend abot 1/2 inch into the door panel when unlocked

So to be clear - pull up very straight while twisting 1/2 turn to remove them?

Yes. You could forego the twist but it helps unseat the OEM PIN. Coming straight up keeps the under pin in good shape to accept the new cover and keep it tight. One of my rear pins was a little loose and the dealer added a tiny strip of cotton tape to 1 side of the head just to snug it up.

Awesome - thanks.

EDIT: Wow - took me literally about 2 minutes, including the time to turn on the car, listen to the cold start & smile, roll down the windows, then pop off the plastic pins and install the AMGs.

People like myself were originally removing the door panels and modifying "longer" door pins to fit flush.

Looks like these current pins (which were not available 1-2 years ago) were finally designed to eliminate all the extra steps needed to work properly.

So now I have to spend $200 on 4 door pins - damnit. I had just convinced myself doing the front 2 was good enough!

Go spend some time in the back seat if you need an affirmation.

Why spend time sitting the back seat if you can be handling the beast
