is it just me or do the front tires in the first pic look like it's awfully close to rubbing.

Your right, bluejae, those fronts and even the rears look way to close to the arch, maybe these pics are just pics of the car with these wheels and they havent even driven that car off the driveway. First dip and bump in the road and they might have some more serious problems than just rubbing.

That silver one looks great! The monoblocks are much nicer, and cleaner looking than the 3 piece version. The wheels o. The white car look tiny, and not enough concavity in the rear.

As a dealer I can attest to them being photo shopped. The ones on the white car are real though and look more concaved than the pictures show you. Just wish the car would allows us go with a deeper lip and a lower ET so we could get some more concave out of them.

Matt, in the next few weeks we will have more photos that will show some of the concave depth. But in all honesty. on the front and rear you could go -3 to -5 on the offset to get more depth and concave. THe only issue with the front is, on full lock, they are close to touching. the rear, with the 255 tyres, tuck right up to the rim and do not touch.

Please correct me if I'm wrong... ADV.1 products are banned from this site? Were they part of the mess the OLD 360forged had a while back, before they got taken over by new ownership? Isnt the former owner of 360 Forged the currant owner of ADV.1?

Only reason I ask this is I am in the market for some new wheels so Im trying to make the best choice I can.

im not sure if ADV1 is banned from this site, but i bought my wheels through Matt from GMP performance. His service was excellent, a phone call or an email away. I am located on the otherside of the world too, my only issue was the time it took for the wheels to be made, but we had some minor mishaps along the way, and shows that adv was committed too which held my product back a little. But everything else, Matt was excellent to deal with.

I agree...you definitely have to push those wheels out...way too conservative on that offset

I have a set of SL55 turbine wheels on my car for the winter and the offsets way more aggressive than the photos with no rubbing...

Whatever the past story was (which I've heard many different versions) it's clear that something is different with ADV.1 - there's nothing but good reviews all over the internet and customers cars pop up everywhere. I'm personally saving for a set, and I've done my research - I'm confident in the product, so whatever the past issues were doesn't really matter to me - they're beautiful wheels, and everyone seems to be happy with them. I have some buddies with GTR's who have them also, they post om the GTR forum and they love the wheels too, and those guys are the definition of picky.

i was very scared of the rims hitting the caliper, or the rims touching the guard. as you know the c63 has very little room to play with, so from me stressing i believe adv1 was very cautious with the offset. but now im giving my views i think they may push it a little more, just wait till i get professional photos done. My phone pics dont do justice.

I'm sorry, but your wheels look nothing like the pshops that ADV.1 portraded. There is almost no concavity to the wheels. The rears look almost exactly like the fronts. Everyone can say that pics don do justice, but there's no ay there gonna look like the p-shops. A shame, because there wheels really are nice. I'd rather have a 3-piece with a 2-3"lip in the rear to show the depth. This is how it should look..

These c63's are a pain in the *** to get wheels on.
There is just too shallow an offset to play with and also the calipers to clear.
Looks good H.

On the rears, how much clearance do you have between the calliper and the wheel centre spokes?

between 5-8mm, the front is even closer. Hence, the only way to get more depth is for the wheels to pushed out more (lower offset). This then how ever causes another issue. with 10in rear, you will be very close the guard. Right now, when my tyre tucks up (using a 255/35) there is probaly 3mm clearance between tyre and guard. Hence why i said you could go a lower ofset rim on the rear but you would need to use a 255 tyre to stretch back under the guard (this would also be an issue if you lower the vehicle). The front, the spoke sits alot closer to the rim, but there 2-3mm clearance (a couple of business card thickness). I wouldnt track my car with these rims in case of flex. The other issue with the front, if you go for a more lower ofset, then the wheel may hit the guard on full lock if lowered.

The picture by adv definately shows rims with more depth, my pics dont show the actualy depth unless it was in 3d, But there is a good depth and more then the factory rims. I too would of liked more depth but, then you have more risks and right now, i wasnt ready to take those risks. but rest assured, im already planning to get another set in a few months from ADV, now that i know what ofset i can work off, i will fill the guards more. Also, i can not lower my car much because of my garage. if it sat lower, believe me it would look alot tuffer too.

hope the info helps others

h.
