Based on what I read on the gtplanet.net website, It's coming out this year. My guess is Christmas though we can always hope for much earlier!

I believe some dealerships might get a special SLS AMG demo of GT5 where you only get to drive the SLS on the Nurburgring, similar to what has been set up at the Mercedes Museum in Germany.

I heard that delaying GT5 was purely a financial decision on Sony's part. Because they has just released the latest installation of the Final Fantasy series, the top brass of Sony wanted to spread the profits from both FF and GT over a longer period of time and did not want a sharp spike in profits only to be followed by a sharper drop in the next financial period.
