Track day at Roebling Road
Just a heads up for anyone wondering what it would be like to drive your car on a road course. Weekend DE's are held around the country and are a great way to get a taste of the track. This event is hosted by the Dark Side and allows more passing zones at lower experience levels than the PCA events and they don't get hung up on loud exhausts either. ![bs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/bs.gif)
Dates are May 1 & 2
Register at clubregistration.net
Cost is $250 for two days and includes 8 sessions with an instructor.
Run groups go from green to black based on experience.
While this is technically not "racing", you will be pushing your car around the track as fast as your skills allow you, in and around other drivers. This track features mostly sweeping turns and favors high horsepower rides.
You will not put any serious wear on your tires or brakes at this track unless you already have the skills to drive near the limit.
Most of the track is surrounded by wide grassy areas to catch anyone who spins off the track.
It is an absolute blast driving your car in a manner not possible on the street and I promise you will not go away disapointed.
I have yet to see another AMG out there except for Dad'sC63 so it would be nice to see some others come out. There is a Shelby GT500 Super Snake in my run group which should provide some fun in-car footage.![action](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/action1.gif)
This is a clip from the last event for those who want a first hand look:

Roebling Road is a great course for first timers - not too technical but harder than it looks and lots of run-off area.
Mercedes-Benz of Buckhead sponsored an AMG weekend there last year and is doing it again this summer. Should be tons of fun (again!).
