Hello
i have $50000 to spend for a car, i am considering used C63, used W211 E550, or W212 E350. especially iam concering about the advanced tech and electronics, and handling aspect of the W211 E class vs the newer generation of MB( C63 and w212 e350 amg sport) what would you guys recommend? currently i have a E60 M5 and i am searching cars for my younger brother. power is not going to be a main issue, as long as it is enough and i am sure the above 3 cars have more than enough power for everyday driving.
thanks!

Many of us like myself bought a loaded '09 C63 AMG (except for the Perf. Package) last summer for ~ $55k (~ $13k off MSRP and ~ $5k under invoice) b/c of a nice $7.5k MB mfgr-dealer rebate in addition to decent negotiated discounts off MSRP. Although not certain, it is possible MB may offer a similar rebate for leftover '10 C63s this summer as well.

That's what I mean. If you're gonna get used...might as well...and you might even get one with P031 in it. If it was me I would wait to see if they have any deals. And if not, then you still have that option to get a used one.

Question for you, I bought my '09 last September brand new, and I was never offered any MFGR rebates. I kept asking them over and over about this and they said there were no rebates AT ALL on AMG models. I ended up paying $60K out the door. What was this rebate, and can I go complain to them about lieing to me about this? Can this sort of thing be argued? I am kind of teed of at this becuase I remember asking them several times and they kept saying not AMG models...

No; unfortunately for you my friend, I think you just missed the "unadvertised" $7,500 Merc- Benz mfgr-dealer rebate. I believe this was secretly offered to customers who asked about it (and negotiated huge discounts off MSRP) from June - Aug, 2009...I learned about the deals going on through this MBW forum and just started calling MB dealers all over the U.S. for a good deal. Because there were no C63's with the options/color I wanted in FL in mid July, 2009 (and my local dealers wouldn't offer me the price I wanted to pay for a car they had to acquire from an out-of-state dealer), I ended up buying a C63 AMG directly from a VA dealer and had them transport my car from VA to my home in FL at no extra cost to me.

If you purchased your C63 in Sept., 2009, you may have just missed out.

****** FU**ERS!! Well I remember when I bought it, I negotiated the whole day and they were really tough on going below a certain amount. I knew what their break point was (in my head and with my math) and I knew they would never go any lower then the price I was negotiating at. The car was exactly what I wanted, all the options I wanted, so there was no waiting. I took it home that evening. I then joined the formum 2 weeks later and learned so much since then. I guess there is a price for experience and knowledge ( guess I overpaid about $5K for it!). Maybe the consolidation gift was I got a benz cover, all season mats, and the interior/exterior warranty extended at no cost.

Great to be a part of a fantastic forum with great members who are helpful and knowledgable. A "band of brothers" with advice and guidance at your fingertips.

I will never forget this though: THE FEELING I HAD WHEN THEY HANDED ME THE KEYS. WORTH EVERY PENNY.

Look on autotrader.com for some pricing in your area. Many have found low mileage cars loaded (minus PP) for low $50's. GL
