I guess technically it does. The way I interpret the rules is a "roll bar", not a "roll cage". I cannot explain the difference because I really don't know. I can tell you that most coupes running in the 11's will pass tech without a roll cage, so long as the driver is wearing a helmet. Once you dip in to the 10's, then I would expect them to look a little harder at the car. If you are a convertible, then you might as well have a bolt in roll bar once you hit the 12's.

We are now running 5 point roll cage, 5 point harness, and (as always) helment.

The 180.73 was reached in 1 Mile.

I'll try and upload some pics from this weekend with the cage in them. Haven't got around to downloading camera yet... long weekend.

When I make a 60-130 run I put the car in manual and force it into 3rd and start there. That skips the 2-3 shift and only puts one shift into the run which is 3-4. It then stays in 4th all the say to 130. Hope that clears that up.
I am still curious to know the 60-130 time

Also could you post up one that is done from 3rd gear vs one done from 2nd gear? I would like to see how big of a difference there is on average.

60-130 on the 180mpg run was 9.15. The other all fall in the low 9 second times. If you start in 3rd and delete that shift it falls into the mid to upper 8 second times. My best recorded time is an 8.46. Hope that helps.

Found out my answer to the Ford GT. It was Twin Turbo and it set the world record at the event.

Nice run Keith!

Aside from removing the front passenger seat, did you do any other weight-reducing mods?

Also, on the official top gun results, your fastest run (180mph) is highlighted in red. Did you get the 180 when they extended the track to 1.5 miles or was it done within 1 mile?

What other mods do you have on your car other than headers, tune, and exhaust?

I removed the passenger seat to offset the cage. No other weight savings were done. I even put the stock hood back on in place of the C/F because the last time we ran the mile the C/F hood got ripped underneath and had to be repaired. Not taking that risk again.

The 180 was recorded via my V-Box in one mile. Their timing equipment was apparently off just a little and recorded 178 that run. We got just over 186 in the 1-1/2 mile run based on the V-Box.

My mods are basically MHP L/T headers, MHP V3 CDT tune, MHP full 3" race exhaust, MHP race prepared heads (stock valves and cams), intake gaskets, thermostat, and the Carbonio C/F airbox. It weighed 3840 empty and over 4000 pounds with me in it.

Thanks Drew!! Someday I'll have the privilege to run with you, but prior to that we will have to make a few more mods. LOL
