4 tickets

Well I got my fourth ticket in my 63, just the other day. This thing is a cop magnet, or i could be just driving too fast lol. I have a good radar detector but i have a hard time hearing it over the radio. One more and i think my license gets suspended. I guess i just need to drive the limit for awhile. The funny thing is i have a Chevy 2500 and i speed in it all the time but i've never got a ticket in it, its like the cops just ignore it.

no more AMG
There are 2 different kinds of radar. The old school radar where they need multiple readings (3 in California to hold up in traffic court), and the newest version called lidar that only takes one reading to get you. By the time your radar detector goes off, it's too late. I use my cruise control everywhere around town.

Ooh man, I know what your saying. Sorry to hear that. It's like a love-hate, good vs. tempation kind of thing. I would hope to think that most of us on the site don't speed and drive city streets like its a track, but its with those small bursts of engine power, around an empty corner, or a small stretch on a vacant road where our desire to give a little throttle ends up in a speeding ticket. It ruins the day, gets expensive, dampers the driving record, and makes driving the C63 a liability.

4 tickets or so then the state writes you a letter stating that you are a "NEGLIGABLE DRIVER". Then kiss license good bye for a while...

4 tickets here and your gone. 10 points and 3 points minimum for a speeding ticket < 30kM (20 mph) over. I know what you mean about the truck. Police seem to ignore you. They just don't draw the same kind of attention. I was caught doing 130 kmph ( 81.25 mph) in a 90 kph (56.25 mph) zone. I didn't ever see the police officer till I was a mile down a twisty road. I pulled over and when he pulled in behind me I just kept going to my house about .5 kM down the road. He was a little excited about the fact I kept going but I gave him a couple of reason why I kept going and why I was speeding and all he gave me was a verbal warning. LOL, how often does that happen?

I am worried about tickets in the C63 when it gets here because it is going to be hard to keep the speed down and not to do any torque inspired bursts of speed. I do it all the time in the truck. No radar detectors allowed here.

Lidar is not radar, it's a laser. It has a much more focused beam, and you're right, it's not detectable until you get taged. There are some ways to jam laser guns, not sure how well they work though.

Maybe you should start running from them again.

Speaking of tickets.. I got one today for going 95 in a 65

I've already used my "pass" almost a year ago (where they give you a higher fine with no points).. I am told I can't do this too often. If i go to court do you think they'll atleast reduce the points? Looks like 30mph over is 5 points

PS I think the cop eyeballed my speed? Is this allowed? My radar detector did not go off at all. Nevermind a warning, but when I passed him, not even a peep from my radar detector. He wasn't pacing me, he was on the side of the road.

no quit running man the high speed in traffic was scaring me. The cop that gave me my last ticket was super cool. i left my wallet at home so no license, my wife had taken out my registration and insurance proof to do the taxes, and to top it off i was very high on my meds and the cop could tell. he ask me what i was on and i told him 2 zanax and 2mg of haldol. he went back to his car and after a short while returned with just a speeding ticket (75 in a 45) he ask me if i was ok to drive and i said sure and thanked him. I could have got a butt load of tickets from that one stop to say nothing of driving under the influence.

I think Spray is not in the States. Stateside, with that many tickets, the only thing you would be driving is a jail cell. But in Europe (and UAE, too, possibly) most tickets are mailed to you - no cop ever stops you for speeding, they just mail it to you. Its just a fine.
