2. KLEEMANN
3. EVOSPORT

Go ahead, throw your money to MHP. I am not debating the number and if what you are looking for is the absolute best hp numbers, then go for it.
However, others are a bit more frugal with their monies and if you were to use another tuner, you will have plenty of monies left for headers or carbon fiber parts or whatever you may fancy.

I chose the Kleemann K1 ECU tune for a couple reasons.

1) Like Even Money, my local MB dealer sells, installs and warranties Kleemann parts.
2) $1495 for ~50RWHP is a pretty nice bang-for-your-buck.

Below is some before/after dyno data from when I and avengerboater had the Kleemann K1 ECU tunes installed on our cars.

^^^ Anywhere from 60-65whp per MHP's website...but for the extra $1K, you may be able to get x-pipes or something that make up the 15-20whp deficiency from the Kleemann tune (and pick up some sound).

Guys with MHP LT Headers and an ECU flash are picking up 100whp+ That will set you back $7K, though.

7k for some pipes and metal is a waste, i will just get a k1 tune and xpipe, my local tune shop quoted me 1595 for just k1 tune is that good?

That is a bit high, most of us sell the K1 for under $1495.00

Go with MHP. Look at my sig.. Tune only 11.8 1/4 Mile and 172 MPH in Standing Mile.

I was told that MHP and another major tuner buys the software from the same guy in Dubai but I'm sworn to secrecy on this so don't ask me for the source.

Well.. I garee with you on some but the fact is that not many vendors make the long tube headers for the C63 thus making the price high. I also complained about this before, long tube headers for a corvette cost you about $1600 which a portion of what you would pay for a s et for the C63 but the problem is that there are not many that makes them so there is no other way around.


I personally think that the headers compliment the tune well.

Dubai?????? Dude who ever told u must of been mistake for all the work tht MHP does over there.

To clear this up for u and your source MHP has never bought tunes from anyone in Dubai.

MHP tuning comes from Europe and I know exactly where and it's no where near Dubai.

DynoComp makes a nice set for less than $7K and I believe FABSPEED and MKB. Some smaller shops fabricate their own private label LTs.
Correct me if I'm wrong about FABSPEED and MKB.

7k gets u headers and tune special for LT's and 95-100 rw gains

Renntech's longtube headers don't make power that's y they stick to the shorty's.
MKB's are not longtubes

Misread...the 7K includes tuning. Then MBH headers and Renntech tune are close to the MHP package price.

Sorry, I don't own a C63 but was considering getting one if it can ever be SC'd instead of waiting for a C-AMG 55TT in 2011.
