how much did you all pay for your C63?

ive been searching around for a C63 lately. after my online searches and prelim dealer discussions, i see the price at around the 75k mark. i thought the msrp on these things was 55K? i know there are options that raise the price, but 20k? am i missing something? i love the car, but am hesitant to pay 75k for a C class, amg or not. just wondering if dealers are raping us, or if that's just the price (in which case, MB is raping us from the factory).

Lot of guys here were able to get an additional $7500 off last year for '09 models as they were rolling out the '10s. This was in addition to any deal you get strike with your dealer. Thats where the $55k number comes from.

I was not as lucky and ended up at $62500 (no PP)

Sorry - just re-read your post -

U can get a bone stock C63 for 55k -

but most opt for at least P2, leather and multimedia package

I paid $67.8K...MSRP was $69.3K...I negotiated via skype from Afghanistan, and that was all I could work the salesman down over the phone.

Right, bone stock with cloth seats is $56K...but good luck finding one below $65K MSRP--and even better luck getting a dealer to order one like that for you.

thanks for the info. i suppose i need to do more pricing research and chat with more dealers. i know individual results vary, but what is the average/typical price movement on a current year C63? 5% off?

thats with the $7500 dealer incentive Im assuming?

Worth waiting to see if they do again, but last year was an extraordinary year for the economy and they might not do it again. But if youre not in a rush, that $7500 translates to a LOT of mods

Use AutoTrader or Cars.com to help search local inventories. Invaluable when your in the market to buy. Focus on dealers with multiple units, more inventory more room to get a better price. But yea wait till July and prices will drop.

thanks for all of the input, guys. 65k seems more in the acceptable range to me. i was just floored by the 75k price tags that i was seeing. im not in a terrible rush, so i suppose taking my time is the way to go.

wow, that's pretty awesome. how long was the negotiation process, if i may ask? and did they have a few in stock at the dealership, or at least others available in town?

+1. Bought mine in July, 2009 for $55k which included delivery from VA to my house in FL. The OP should try to wait until mid summer to see if MB offers that nice $7.5k mfgr-dealer incentive on top of deep discounts from the dealer. The $70-$75k the OP is seeing sounds like MSRP for these cars as there was a slight increase in price from MY '09 to MY '10.

^^^ same here. Some times you have to pay the full MSRP but often is worth paying for what you want.

I purchase mine for an unbelieveable 52K. You dont wanna pay sticker for these cars. If I sold my car today with 8K miles on it I would get about 53K. If I paid 68K.. well that would suck.

There is plenty of room on these cars. Enough to get it down into the 50's. The secret to these dealers is walk in with a "I dont care if I buy it " attitude. The moment they see you drooling your done. When I bought my car I was like, dude, I like so many cars, I like this car and for the right price ill get it. If not.. Oh well. He thought about it for 2 days and called me and said, My sales numbers mean more to me than making money on the car, come in.

That is absurd. But I feel your pain. A while back I tried to import a skyline. After all was said and done with would have run me about 75K for an extremely used car.
