Eagle One NevrDull wadding polish. Works great! The first time might take a little effort, but after that it cleans them easily.

That's CRAZY because I was a half a second on posting the same question. I just got back 4 minutes ago and just bought BLUE MAGIC. It stated it cleans and protects, removing the black carbon. I will try it and see. I bought some stuff at Target (Meguires I think) and it sucked.

I can't say that the other products won't work, but can say that I own a professional detailing business and the product I use on the exhaust tips is NevrDull. I've successfully restored tips that the owner of the car had not cleaned once in two years using it. (Granted they took some time, as in 30 minutes or more to get perfect)

Nice! I've always liked the P21s products and use many of them all the time.

Where in Dallas is your detailing business? Any recommendations for a detailer in Austin?

My tips are black.

Every time I fill up I head to the wash bucket, soak a handful of paper towels and give the tips a quick swipe. Takes 60 secs and I've never had to use anything more invasive.

+1 Clean em with a wet rag every few days or once a week at least and you avoid the heavy buildup. When it gets bad I use Mothers Chrome Polich which works quite well.

Absolutely correct. Use this to clean off the carbon and other residue, then apply one of the polishes mentioned by others and they'll be as good as new.

Brasso...comes off in like 2 seconds...first coat gets heavy stuff, second polishes (and it will polish the heck out of the already shiney stuff with just a quick application.

Put on clean terry cloth, apply to areas, let stay for about 1 minute, then come with dry terry to remove...then rub with polish cloth to buff to perfect shine!

++1 Finished using BLUE MAGIC. AWESOME. CLEANS AND PROTECTS. HAS AMMONIA TO DISSOLVE THE CARBON BUILD UP. Hard to fit your hands under diffuser to get on top of exhaust tips though...

I use Magic Rabbit and it works great! I doubted it when I bought it based upon the recommendation of some Viper owners....proved to be great stuff!! Now I just maintain the pipes weekly and they look great.

Has anybody blacked out their tips...say by ceramic coating? I'm not a fan of polished tips per se. Blacked out tips look more race-worthy, and frankly just hide the soot better.

New to this forum and the C63. Just came from an '07 GT3 RS, and I gotta say the AMG is like the RS with 4 doors!
