Here's the scenario....We have a 2010 GLK and I just noticed that there is a TRAFFIC menu and on my 08 "does not have" and I dont know if your 09-10 model has this menu too . Now my question is can I go to the dealer and have them installed this program or I just to have to buy a disc for this to download it.
I think its cool to have this feature (no idea if I spelled it right) especially If you live in LA.

mine does not have a traffic feature, so you must just be out of luck on that one.

Traffic is part of the telaid package...I think if you got that you would've got that feature.

Traffic is not teleaid. i have it and the supplement to the owner's manual explains that it is part of the satelite radio package. Sirius is supplying the real time traffic. So, if you don't keep the satelite radio going you lose it.

Hmmm, isn't it the same system? Wonder how much it'd cost to get it programmed for trafficOriginally Posted by superlubricity

Maybe someone with knowledge of the situation can chime in to explain if this is a software update or hardware inherent in the 2010's thats not in the 08/09's.

Considering the dealer would have to do the programming, why not call them or swing by and chat with your SA?
