Don't forget guys, USA & Canada use the, (R + M)/2 octane rating VS other countries that just use the, RON rating, so like the sticker shows on the inside of the fuel filler door, RON 98 = 93 here in Canada & the US

I know this is a very old thread, but you're confusing the octane ratings. In North America, the pumps use AKI ratings, which is (RON+MON)/2. In Europe, Australia and the ROW, it's the RON rating only which is about 8-10 higher than the MON, hence the AKI will be about 4-5 higher. The 98 RON gas in Europe/Australia is the same as 94 octane gas in North America.
