i got no wheel spin from a standstill WOT with ESP OFF. im running dunlop direzza z1 star specs 275's on stock rims. Either these tires have unbelievable grip or i lost power somehow.

even in C mode, it will shift to first so that can't be the problem.
If you don't have any CELs I don't think there's anything wrong with your car (but not for certain)
So two possibilities exist:
1 - The dunlops are made of super glue
2 - You are spinning your wheels and you don't realize it.

its a good thing, i just dont see how this is possible. either these tires are made of superglue or i need a tune

I had a 302 Ranger back in the day. When the tires spun...I never heard them. Is that a possibilty? I would pour water on the ground...and try there...so if its really an issue. Maybe have someone watching for you.

My tires are always fighting for traction. Any hard acceleration from a roll leaves to relatively fain black lines behind me that I can even see in my rear view mirror!
Hard acceleration from a standstill will go something like this: traction quickly followed by no traction then traction again if I have ESP on (though there is a noticeable reduction in power) or spinning tires and forward motion with revs holding at 4,000 (if road is slippery) with ESP sport on.
I've already ordered a set of replacements to be on standby. :-)
