MFest for AMG owners?
Is there a counterpart for us AMG owners / fans? My friends who are avid BMW owners are dragging me to Vegas for the MFest and it sure sounds like fun. I'm just kinda bummed we don't have one. Or so I believe.
Is it because M cars have longer history than their AMG counterparts?

For those who didn't know its a weekend at Vegas for all the M owners. Clubs, track events, discounted hotels, convoys and etc. Aftermarket companies sponsored the event.

MFest is at the Pallazo hotel Apr 16-18th, and will be at the track on Apr 17th. Come check out the fun. Powerchip and many other companies will be there with some great BMWs and some other exotics.
We can accomodate some Benz tunes at a discount since will already be in Vegas.

I've never heard of anything comparable for AMGs - I think this is indicative of the inability of MB(USA) to effectively market themselves. I feel like for every commercial I see for BMW, Audi, etc. there is a noticeable deficit when it comes to MB / AMG.

You guys are talking as if MFest is hosted by BMW and was started by BMW to market their cars. MFest was started by 1 guy who thought it would be great for them to all get together. Over the years it got big. The guy who organizes this did it as a part time thing, but I believe this year he said he was going to start doing this full time.
If people want to start organizing AMGfest or whatever it'd be cool. Vegas every year?

It runs week of Apr 12 - 16, includes 2 days hotel stay and one full track day. Cost is free.
I believe it maybe similar to the event they had in Dallas couple years ago.

Ive been to 2 of the last 3 Mfests, and been to a bunch of their other meets and im good friends with one of the originators, who is actually a member of this board (thaichi808). One thing they stress is, it really doesn't matter what you drive, as long as you are an enthusiast and good people then that's all that matters.
When it comes to meets, they represent hard. I was at one of their weekly dinner meets in West LA 2 weeks ago, and id say at least 40 members showed up... and 3 mb's.. If you can get 40 mb's to show up to a meet, that' s pretty much a miracle..
There are actually a bunch of MB guys going to Mfest 4, but i don't think they are showing....
