The largest USB the car accepts?
hey guys.
I get my car in a weeks time and i want to get a USB flash drive to store my music in the glove box. i know there is ipod connectivity, but i dont have an ipod yet, nor do i want one. specially with the whole one itunes for one ipod thing, it means i cant go to my friends houses and just leech music freely. a usb is just unplug, computer, music, back into car. yay!
so i just want to find out, what are the largest USB drives you guys have tested in your cars? i remember reading back a while that someone was using an 8gb, but i would be keen to get like a 32gb or something....i don't really have much more music than that.
on another note, anyone tried a USB (self) powered external HDD?
cheers!

I was going to buy a 64 or 128gb, but at those sizes at the moment the $/GB just isn't worth it. Better off buying multiples of smaller ones. 32gb should be fine for now, it's filling up though :P

Out of interest, what month/year did they start building the cars that come with the media interface with the usb in the glovebox?
I am assuming all the cars built in 2008 did not include it and it was included at some point on cars built in 2009?

I have a 32GB formatted FAT32 with about 17GB used (around 3600 songs) and it only reads about 900 of them.
Now for the odd part. It reads 900 songs and the last song it reads is the actual last song on the drive.
