what is the top speed limited to on a stock 2009 c63?

i've seen or heard anywhere from 147-155mph.

if that's true, how did my car hit 161mph when it was stock on a dyno?

155mph limited in stock form, and it's possible that your speedo could be off a bit (but probably not by 6mph???).

I believe that it is limited to the 155mph but that could be slightly off if you have larger wheels.

I have gotten my needle pointing at 160 stock not sure the exact speed like the digital readout but the needle was on 160. I was also going on a slight down hill.

Just a guess...
Speedo is tied to the front wheel. On a dyno only the tach moves, speedo should sit at zero.

As such the "speed limiter" is connected to maximum velocity rather than engine speed (which is only limited by the rev limiter). Since front wheel isn't moving, speed limiter never kicks in.

I'm guessing that 161 is the translated speed of a rev limited 3rd or 4th gear run.
