Re: Charcoal Filters
If you live in North America, your stock air box has a secondary filter inside the box top that can be removed to increase airflow and potentially free up some horsepower.
If you live outside of North America, you have a different box top and the charcoal filters are already removed.
Hope this helps.

The third lowest graph was my baseline before the carbon filter delete. The top 2 graphs were the runs after the delete, with the highest one done after icing the intake manifold. and the 2nd after the car had soaked up quite a bit of more heat.
I measured another run after replacing the airbox with a ROTW airbox will post it soon.

Here is a comparison of a run done with the charcoal delete and a replacement of the ROW airbox. Note done on separate days but its only getting hotter over here

Is it me or does it look like you gained about 10HP from deleting the carbon filters? BTW what are carbon filters? Is that the same as charcoal filters?

I have a Panamera road test in which the car did a 3.2 sec 0-60 and a 11.9@120mph(better than the E-63 AMG but again, the video shows a differnt history. Sorry to hijack the post by the way, I think everyone will enjoy watching it.

watch the video from minute 2:53 sec to minute 3:00 sec and you will see what I have been *****ing about for months about the C63 AMG, our AMG transmissions are lightyears behind other competitors like Porsache or VW or even the Auto from BMW. AMG tranmission isn simply too slugish. Watch the video over and over and see how fast the gear shifting is on the Porsche and remember, I am talking about gear shifting speed and not how fast the engione revs(two different things)
