Mthis and I ran all day on Monday Had allot of fun thank you to everyone that makes this happen you guys are great. Very helpful as I am a complete novice at this track stuff!! Over all a good day cars are sick ran great! Very impressed with the performance! Although Im on a mission ti go faster!! I'm sure there are better numbers to come! Ok as mthis thread stated we both had almost the same exact setups running!!

265-40-18 mt et drags
carbonia intake with k&n drop ins
mhp v3 tune
mhp headers & mids with no cats
and a mixture of fuel to acheive 100 or so octane
No LSD

we played all day with the launches but found a 1700 rpm power break to work the best!! Last time without the headers I did I higher rpm drop but got bogging this time over 2000???

Drive home was exciting were we played on the higway a bit were both cars seem to match perfectly! Not one to talk allot so thanks again everyone and let's get some more good numbers up here!! I want to see some comp from other tuners as well?!!! Let's all have a good safe summer

How long do you think it takes the car to adapt to the higher octane? The manual says to only change octane with a full tank so I have been mixing 91 and 100 to arrive at 93.

So no LSD, but equal times. Guess it's not that necessary

I'm following you dads but my pockets aren't that deep so!!
Fuel I have no idea about I'm a complete novice i've done a total of about 14 runs on 2 track days both at mir I think the fuel didn't have time to do any thing since I did 5 runs with it there was really no time ti do anything IMO. LSD no LSD who no's not me mthis was doing great burnouts!!!!

Congrats...more great times. MHP seems to be doing a great job.

My theory on mixing fuel to raise octane is it should help to prevent KR. This should in turn keep you in a higher octane timing table and thus more power and better times. So it will help to avoid any detonation, which can damage the engine and may keep the timing up some which will it turn make more power. I really have no idea on how the tune is set up exactly so this is all theory. It is very important to avoid detonation.

So you raise the octane to hopefully allow more spark and more power and richen the mixture to cool the charge both of which help to stave off KR and potential detonation.
