Dealing w/ red brake calipers of p31

Editing to clarify: I'm looking to buy a c63 and deciding p31 or not.

I want a factory warranted performance package but right now the red brake calipers are holding me back and from reading posts on here it seems others are in the same boat.

Is there a practicable and warranty retaining way of painting or swapping the calipers? From what I understand the standard and the p31 calipers are the same so presumably they could be swapped. Any idea how much this would cost through the dealer? parts + labor. [Anyone care to buy/sell/trade calipers?]

Or, alternatively, can they be painted with good results ? I noticed Evosport's catalogue has custom break painting, anyone done this ? Would this affect the warranty ?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

I don't think painting the brakes can void your warranty. To void the warranty the dealer has to provide proof that what you did caused the malfunction.

I agree - the red just does not look right on the C63 - I love the silver paint on the 09's

+1

Red caliper would work well but only on a red C63 IMO.
