LOOKS real nice....but that carbon gets slippery as hell and the alcantera will start to show wear in no time. Great in the looks dept, but not so great in the functionality dept.

LZH, I was forum member that bought the wheel. I agree with you completely, but not too concerned about the issues you raise as my car is not a daily drive and I don't anticipate hitting the track anytime soon as far as wheel grip is concerned. However you can buy a very fine resin (used in equestrian sports) which is completely invisible and leaves no residual (made to be used on wet leather parts such as reins) on the wheel which provides the same type of grip you would have with OEM wheel or better. I tested this out on friends modified CLK 63 BS and it worked perfect. When applied it is completely transparent and wears off after 3-4 hours of hard use. I do have some concern on how the alcantara will hold up but at the end of the day I can always replace it if it wears out. Time will tell. I will post pics of it installed as I have also ordered the interior CF set from DCT.

Got my Alcantara shift boot today from Ivan, once again great product and great service from DCT and Ivan. Goes great with my new alcantara steering wheel. Will try and get some pics up
