Camera mounts
This is a question for you track junkies who mount cameras to film yourself while driving: what do you use and why?
I'm thinking of picking up a mount and have some concerns. First, the AMG seats don't have the traditional headrest mounts (bars) to mount in in-car-camera to, so I was considering suction-based mounts. I'm a little concerned about sticking a $1600 HD camcorder to the side of my door while on the track.
Second, assuming the mount is good and will hold, I'm concerned about the car and track vibrations. The camcorder is hard drive-based and I'm not sure how much vibration it can take without any damage to the platters. So any feedback would be great.

I use a standard 12.1 mp digital camera in video mode. It is fastened to the inside of the windshield with a Gecko camera mount.

Check out some of the HD Pocket Cams, they have come a long way. They are super-cheap, very versatile and offer great quality. For less than $150 you can snag a Kodak PlaySport HD waterproof pocket camera. For less than $30 you can get the Delkin Fat Gecko Double Knuckle Single Suction Cup Camera Mount. Amazon.com carries both.
