my upgrades get put off longer and longer
This is a good reason though, my nephew will by commissioned Second Lieutenant in the US Army. As a retired Major in the US Air Force as a retired officer i can commission our soldiers.
It going to be held at fort Lewis in Washington state. it definitely worth the cost my major time (no pun intended) the last time i put on the uniform was 25lbs ago, so quick diet to mid JULY.

That is nice of you. I am AD USAF. If you were retired as a major there is a chance you were prior enlisted no? what was your AFSC?

No I wasn't prior enlisted, i got retired early due to a medical condition i was 12ea3 navigator
