if you look closely at the instrument cluster you will see amg written. and it looks like the new e63 amg instrument cluster with the clock, and for the interior i think that this car is equipped with the clothes seat, but still they are bucket seats like the 2010 c63 seats not the regular c class.

Hi,
Awesome find, Ive been scouring the net looking MY11 updates for weeks.
Does the dash shot give any indication of 6.3 NA or 5.5 FI ?
The tacho seems to finish in 7000 rpm, is this as is in the current MY10 ?

C63 AMG P31 2010
I don't think this is actually a facelifted car. Headlights and bumper are the same. The dash is the same as in E-class, so is the steering wheel. Looks like they are testing a new engine or somethin...

Why do you say it cant be a 2011 model? It has a new grill (which will be used in the new SLK and CLS as well), the new (fugly) AMG steering wheel from the E63, the five-ring instrument cluster also from W212 AMG, and lastly, as someone said before, the rpms end at 7000rpm. It seems like a facelift to me

I thought the MY 2011 is supposed to have the ew LED bar lights on the front bumper? I think Callmiro is correct.

Reposted pics--sorry I remember seeing these too.
And all other spy shots are showing LEDs--not to mention every other make (competion) is already using LEDs, so you know they're coming

That is most likely a test car, It almost looks like these pics were taken @ MB Unterturkheim or Sindlefingen.

OK guys i don't know if i should call it a face lift or a 2011 minor changes, but how do you guys explain the new instrument cluster ?? and i think the grille is not painted because they are testing it, and buy the way i found these pics in a German spy car photos site and the only thing that i was able to undestand was 2011 c63 amg test.

MY17 E43 Matte Selenite/Macchiato Beige, MY16 GLE350d Tenorite/Crystal Grey, MY17 B250
This is not the MY11 car. The car has the 4-spoke wheel and SL grill because it is a test mule for DISTRONIC, lane keeping assist, blind spot assist, etc. Note the DISTRONIC controls on the cruise control stalk.
The 3-spoke wheel does not work with lane keeping assist (does not have the vibrate function).
The gauge cluster has nothing to do with monitoring - data-logging is done with stand-alone computers, not with the OEM cluster (hence the massive screen on the passenger side). More likely, it is an E63 cluster that was installed because it has the aforementioned features incorporated into it.

doesn't make sense why would the need a clock in the interment cluster for accurate testing, and the already have a laptop or some kind of screen on the passenger side for testing.
