C63 AMG vs E350 vs E550
Hi everyone,
I'm from Toronto and looking to replace my BMW 528xi with a new car this summer.
I have been browsing both the website of Mercedes USA and Canada and notice quite a big variance in pricing.
Here are the prices:
C63 AMG
Canada: $62k
USA: $58k
Pretty close
E350
Canada: 62k
USA: 48k
WTF? I thought about buying this car until I checked the price in the States and realize I'm getting ripped off for $14k

USA: 58k
SAME THING!
I love the interior of the E class. I tested drove a c300 and the interior felt really cheap. However, the exhaust of C63 is fantastic! One thing that stops me from buying the C63 is the uncertainty of a new body/engine. I'd be heartbroken to see a new body style and engine after blowing 63k to my new ride.
Help me choose please.

its easy do u want power or luxury? power=c63 luxury=e550-e350
U will have more fun with the c63 and the seats are very sporty.
The best way for you to choose will be test driving c63 not c300 and E class back2back so u can decide...

I wouldn't sleep on the 550's especially with a tune - close to 400 hp and tq and 0-60 in 5.2 seconds (stock). Nothing to sneeze at. . . that being said, if it was a choice between the C63 and E350 - C63 all the way. If you're really worried about the TT's showing up in the C's buy something used for the short term and wait it out (I don't know about up there but you can get a used BMW 550 for mid to high 20's here).

You need to consider the AEA premium on the E-Class models. A US E-Class is really decontented relative to Canada. There's still a gap, but not nearly as wide.
C63 is carry-over for MY11 (no major changes) but will get a 19" wheel option.

What did it for me was test driving them, one after the other. After that, it was an easy decision. C63. I hear you on the engine, but I still have to own it. Waiting for delivery beginning of Aug.

You guys were right! I went test drive both cars and the C63 blew me away. The exhaust sounds like a lion when the engine revs!

Ya, me too! Going shopping this weekend with credit cards and spare license plates in the trunk!! Ready to wheel and deal, and get my price. I just need to figure out what my price is. What is the cost price on these c63's?

If you are looking for comfort and plan on doing lots of driving A-B type stuff then the E350 is perfect. If you want power most, then go C63. The E550 can't compare.
I've driven both the E550 (in E500 guise) and E350. I'd chose the E350 between them and save money and fuel because if I want power, then the C63 or E63 is the only way to go!
I could see myself with an E350 for a daily driver and the C63 for days when I really want to go for a drive!

i WAS LOOKING AT THE SAME SCENARIO.
I went with an E. Mainly becasue of the LONG trips to SF Bay area from Los Angeles, couple times a month.
And most of the times I have my parents coming along and we all prefer to take the E up north. The C would have been fun for me and hard for all the passengers.
