For People Who Don't wear seatbelts

I don't recommend not wearing a seat belt, but I have read posts asking how to disable the reminder chime. I found this on Ebay and thought people might be interested.

That's nice piece! I made my own with an ABS plastic sheet, and dremel. Works perfect!

Those who choose to not wear seat belts, I am very interested in your thoughts/reasoning behind not doing so. I'm so curious.

I would buy them. Not because I don't wear my seat belt, but because I can't stand hearing the chime when I have something (not someone) sitting on the seat.

Most people wear their seatbelts they just don't want to hear that obnoxious chime when they're pulling out of their driveway or into their house.

when you are driving for more than an hour on our super bucket seat in stop and go traffic where the max speed is 10mph you get some kind disconforts and you need to move...lol

Same deal as someone else posted, I occasionally have some heavy computer equipment (my laptop bag for example has 3 laptops and a misc associated cables, power, etc etc), easily over 40 pounds sometimes, in the passenger seat, (although I have not had to do this in the month I have had my c63, but in my old camry... yes I owned a camry.. a hybrid one at that), the binging would drive me nuts.

Seriously, you can't "listen" to the chime for a few seconds?

And anyway the chime for the passenger seat goes away after a few seconds.

It "goes away" temporarily. It does start again.

Ummm yes. If I have something that is causing the pasenger seat sensor I just clip the belt.

In all honesty though I never wore my belt. The C63 has forced me to get into the habbit and Im thankful for its annoyance.

not for you - for the people that find the chime annoying when moving the car into a parking garage or something close

as for the laptop, id say you're better off putting something like that in the trunk or on the floor - u stop short suddenly and that thing is going right into the dash. 40 lbs of material and you run the risk of damaging something.

Doubt anyone here drives w/o a seatbelt, but if you are youre retarded.

No seatbelt is indeed an asshat move. No excuse not to wear one. You have one of the most technologically advanced cars in the world and think about your family having to care care of your crippled ***. Changing your diaper, etc. Pure stupidity.
