Infiniti drivers make me laugh

It kinda makes sense, though...it is one of the "luxury" cars out there that can compete very well in its class...a G35/37 will TORCH a C350 or a 325/330. It won't touch a C63 or 335i,/M-series, but Infiniti owners do feel that they have a strong and "sexy" car, and I don't think most are aware of what the M-class or AMG class can really do. I know some that think AMG just means nicer interior (how wrong they are).
The new M56 that is coming out will compete for sure with some of the larger sedans put out by MB/BMW (like the S550 or 550i).
I can't tell you how many people (friends) get done seeing or riding in my car, and then the next day they say, "I looked your car up, man...is it a beast"...I think the C63 is probably one of the biggest sleepers out there (esp. here, where there are less than 5 on the road right now).
Don't hate the Infiniti guy for not wanting to race you...but he shouldn't have blown up...I had a guy the other day in an older Lexus E350 or something...he didn't like something I did and started ACTIVELY trying to run me off the road...I slowed down to about 25 on the highway, and he stopped on the shoulder...then I sped up to go around and he tried to hit my back end as I went by. I did this twice, and used another car as my shield one time to keep him from hitting me...I finally took it up to about 120 until I could get to the next exit, where it is heavily populated...he cruised on by on the highway.

I've driven a C350...I loved the comfort and styling (as it matches what I drive)...but I was completely underwhelmed by the performance for the money. I know it isn't all about performance, but I think MB needs to start beefing up its "little brothers" a bit...leave the C300 as is, but give the C350 a turbo like the Bimmer. Just my thoughts.

However, racing and comparing our C AMG to an Infiniti is out of our league. We shouldn't even talk about them. "After Monday and Tuesday even the calendar is like WTF".

As for the g35 torching a 350..that doesn't even make sense based on what I said.
In terms of speed of 30 - 100 from my experience you have....
335i > g37 > g35 > c350
So yeah a 335 will torch a 350 but a g35 won't.
Now I got me a bad boy of my own and I just got a 2010 G37xS. Infinitis are great cars. GIRLS love them and I've been driving them since the I30 and I never ever have any problems with them. Nice beaters.
The way I describe it, I went from being a tiny footprint on mother nature, to a giant jack boot up mother natures ***

I mountain bike, I maintain trails, I do my fair share for mother nature, however I am done with crappy cars. Now if only the interior was not crappy on my C63 (but thats for another thread).

Actually, there is some back story here. I originally had a VW Jetta 1.8t (endless problems, not a powerhouse, but really fun to drive), my wife had a honda civic. When we moved from DC to MD, my car had some issues, requiring about $3k worth of repairs to get it past inspection. Wifes car was basically paid off, but no problems otherwise.
The deal I made, was that we replace my car now, as the repair cost exceeded what I owed on it, and I did not think it was worth the cost, and we get something my wife would ultimately end up with. We replace her car, and I get what I wanted. So we got the hybrid.
Fast forward, we replace her car with an infiniti FX35 (the small SUV), and she decides she no longer wants the camry, and I got stuck with it, while she kept the FX. I decide I no longer want the camry and get teh C63 against my wifes wishes, she wanted atleast one car that got good mileage and was sensible. Well, the C63 is sensible, it has 4 doors doesn't it

That is the story how I got screwed into owning a hybrid. Which for the record, are really not worth the $5k premium over the base models they are based on. Many of the new non hybrid cars get just as good, if not better mileage, and we won't even get into diesel models (most of which we will never see in the US *sigh*).
As for whether or not Infiniti's, atleast the FX35 and G35 (or the FX45 V8), they are awesome cars, and they sound absolutely beautiful, one of the most refined V6 engines out there. I am not that big of a fan of the new 37 series, just does not sound the same.

A G35 & a C350 are about identical in speed, 0-60, 1/4mi pick your length and they are about the same. Obviously a manual G35 would have an edge but if you compare the automatics they are the same. Both around 6 seconds 0-60 and mid 14's in the 1/4.
I have a friend with a stock 06 G35 and we've toyed around a few times and on the street from light to light who ever gets the best launch wins and when we are on the highway I start pulling ahead from about 80 which I think is mainly due to having 2 more gears to utilize.
in Englishtown, NJ. It was stock with an automatic trans. I had it on
a wheel dyno too and it made 229hp @ the wheels, about an 18%
drivetrain loss since it was rated at 280hp at the motor.
Manual G35's were a little quicker.
