Stock vs stock, it would be a driver's race up to about 100-110mph, with a slight edge to the C63. After that the M5 would start to pull away.
Stock M5's trap around 115mph in the quarter mile.
IDK about the OP story. The speeds, distances, and gears mentioned all don't sound right...

IDK why everyone is bashing the OP. Everything here is believable except for the 5th gear thing.... 95 MPH in 5th....

You must have got the jump on him.
I've raced a stock M5 many many times and he beat me every single time. They are a faster car. around 3rd gear he pulls a few car lengths from a dig and from a roll.
A stage 2 tune, 510HP C63 will beat a stock m5 every time. Done this too many times. From a dig or a roll you will have him from first gear all the way to about 280km/h then he will creep by you.

Thanks for the good story...if you are going to "fabricate" some of the details, you may want to be a little more realistic...I'm sure you didn't "TOAST" an M5...if you had said you beat him by a car length, people MAY believe it. Otherwise, if you really did smoke him, than he wasn't racing.
I wish I could get cars to run me when I have the camera rolling. It is the only way to prove a story like this. However, most of the races I have had were with lesser cars anyway, so no surprise. When I ran the GT3 on the highway, I was able to pull a car - two cars from about 60-120, but the GT3 isn't a car with as much of a top end as the M5. And, he was stock and I'm not, as I've had a K1 tune and am running a more open exhaust. Had I said "I crushed a GT3 by 6 cars and then he offered to trade slips", I think everybody would have been calling BS.

Stock I beat my friuends 08 m5 from 0-100 by at least a car both rolling and from a dig, but when we did highway runs he would take me by about a car at around 110ish and keep pulling. Now with K1 I get 1-2 cars 0-100mph and keep a car on him after that.

Another possibility is that it wasn't an M5, but rather a re-badged/poseur 5-series...

Guys the M5 is def slower than a c63 i know this for sure because i was a previous owner of an M5. From the dig to about 90-100 an M5 will lose. Even if you use launch control cause the launch control in the US version only reved to 1500 rpm not the 4000 rpm like the euro version and if still no one believes me here are tests done by professionals with stock cars.

stock m5 runs 4.1 and 12.5@115.what does a c63 run?? and either of those cars can run 13.00 or worse with a bad driver.

I own neither cars, but things do seem a little iffy. However, numbers aside, don't the M5/M6 also have (as well as the 400/500hp thing) many different shift modes for their SMG?
If it's just s straight acceleration, perhaps the other guy was in "comfort" mode (or something like that) and suddenly found himself in an impromptu 'race'? In that case, it's not really a "toasting". Or even any kind of win, for that matter.

You guys read way too much in between the lines. It is quite possible to have a 4-5 car length difference and on a different day, it easily could have been the M-5 on top.
As the Edmund link shows, both cars stock are very close to each other. With this kind of horsepower, if one of the car does not perform a good start and is not ready, the loser will get his butt spanked.
