Raced an M5
So get this. On my way home from work i came to the stop light on the 2 lane highway first car at the red light, and I look over and a newer, probably like an'07 or '08 M5 pulls up in the left lane next to me first car in his lane to my left. The light turns green, I am in manual mode with sport ESP mode and i roast it and he roasts it, we're right about neck in neck and pull ahead going into 4th gear, and he starts getting closer right up on my tail and I keep nailing the beast into 5th hear doing 95 and he just finally gave up and there was only about 1/2 mile to the next light where we had to stop. So down at the next light while we're waiting for the green, he roles down his window, and I do too and he asks how I like my C63 and says that his lease is over on his M5 in another few months and he's thinking about getting a C 63. I'll tell you it feels good when you roast an M5 on 1/3 mile run from a dead stop and then the guy driving that car says he's getting a C63 in a few months. You just can't appreciate it until you have one !!!!!!!

I highly doubt that you can beat a M5 stock for stock, in runs before locally where I am the C63 can KEEP with the m5 as well as starting pull, but after the m5 will slowly take the lead.
Where my C63 raced a stock m5 and with wheel spin and m5 gets the jump, i easily pass him to a point where there is no way he can catch up.

Of course you did.......and all that by not even redlining it in 4th gear 
. I don't think so, but nice try. I own an M6 and a CLK63 BS, and like someone already mentioned, you're well into the 120's in 4th in both cars. This is where the M5/M6 is in it's element which makes walking it very unlikely. Are you sure the guy even knew he was in a race?

Yeah, so I just like to spend my spare time writing fictitious stories about my drive home from work. Right. Oh and stupid f*****g me, i had the video camera strapped to the side of the car, but I forgot to turn it on. You guys are too much here.

and why can't a c63 beat an m5???? 
. maybe his speeds that he is posting are a little off,but thats no reason to discredit his story. hey,when I'm running against another car I'm not focusing on what speed my gears are changing at.I'm more interested where the other guy is. let the guy tell his story. don't be a bunch of ****** .

There is a chance that the guy with the M-5 wasn't even racing you. I am telling you right now that if you were in 5th gear at 95mph your car was going slow.
Unless the guy in the M-5 was also doing what you were doing(shifting way to early) there is no chance then that you would had won the race.
You would had to red line the car on each gear and do the shifting correctly each time and even like that the race would be very even.

stock m5 runs 4.1 and 12.5@115.what does a c63 run?? and either of those cars can run 13.00 or worse with a bad driver.

I preferred the OP’s story from last month where in ‘C’ mode he wasted a 335i after visiting Dunken Donuts. I have to be honest when I say I’m now on the edge of my seat waiting for next month’s instalment.
